Week after week, folks at the office were picking up the latest “AAA” titles to play, and as a result, I’m guessing most everyone now has a pile of games to play. Luckily, most of the big releases are now out, so we can put away our wallets and focus on the games we’ve got.
Here’s what you’ll see our team playing over the weekend:
Daryl Brigner, Level Designer: Rock Band, Kane and Lynch, and Super Mario Galaxy
Megan Sawyer, Environment Artist: Rock Band, Catz 2, possibly breaking out some older DS games I haven’t played yet like Trace Memory.
Jay Woodward, Death, Shatterer of Worlds: Mass Effect, Star Trek: Conquest.
Pete Hines: Company of Heroes, Assassin’s Creed, Orange Box, Mass Effect
Craig Lafferty, Producer: Assassin’s Creed, Rock Band, Simpsons Game and Wii Sports Bowling with a bunch of kids. Good times.
Nate Purkeypile, Expert Door Creator: TF2, Rock Band, Mass Effect, Assassin’s Creed and Mario Galaxy.
Chris Esko, Systems Programmer: Orange Box, Rock Band, Mass Effect
Nate Ellis, Design Intern: Mass Effect, Assassin’s Creed, WoW and Lux (if you love Risk and haven’t played this drop whatever you’re doing right now and go download the trial).
Nathan “Whasian Sensation” McDyer, Associate Producer: COD4, Rock Band, and lots of Metal on the bass guitar.
Jon Paul Duvall, Designer: Assassins Creed, Rock Band, maybe a little Red Orchestra. Definitely some geeky boardgames.
Matt Grandstaff, Community Manager: Orange Box, Super Mario Galaxy, Ratchet and Clank Future, Star Trek: Conquest, Halo 3
Orin Tresnjak, Graphics Programmer: Games I’ve been meaning to get back to: Half Life 2, Cave Story, maybe some Titan Quest.
Ryan Lea, QA: Super Mario Galaxy, WoW, and watching Mason basketball
James Costantino, QA Lead: NHL 08, Gears of War, CoD4
Jesse Tucker, Level Design: HL2 Episode 2, UT3
Jason Little, QA: Gears of War, SK8, Oblivion, Halo 3
Tim “Visor” Lamb, Associate Producer: Call of Duty 4 (in search of more Prestige), Rock Band
Dan Geske, QA: Probably some NCAA 2008, WOW: BC, and (if my new drive arrives in time) some Battle for Middle Earth 1 and 2.
Nghi Huynh, QA: My Xbox360 = dead (R.I.P launch unit), Assassin’s Creed (PS3)
Joel Burgess, Intrepid Scout: Mario Galaxy, Mass Effect, Assassin’s Creed, Rock Band, Bowling (sans wii), Trilby and the Art of Theft, TF2, Toribash
Jonathan Bilodeau, Graphics Programmer: Mass Effect
Gary Noonan, Character Animator: Morrowind GotY- Started on 360 but started over on PC. Using some mods and WOW there are some good ones. As well as some down right jaded/lurid ones that make me feel dirty.
Fred Zeleny, Keeps Going and Going: a little Super Mario Galaxy to relax, some subversive SF0.org social games for fun, and then I’ll be off to catch up on sleep – the game I always win!
Ryan Ashford, QA: Crysis, TF2, Ico
Michael Lattanzia, QA: Rock Band, Hellgate: London, and maybe a little TF2 practice
Dan Ross, QA Tester: Orange Box, Orange Box, and maybe some Orange Box in between bouts of Orange Box.
Michael Wagner, Marketing: Half-Life 2: Episode 2, Hellgate: London
Aaron Mitschelen, QA monkey: LotRO, Orange Box (not Portal or TF2!), Crysis, Gears of War for Windows.
Ashley Cheng, Producer: Mass Effect
Shannon Bailey, Programmer: Persona 3, Mass Effect

Your remaining points: 18.
Whoa, no “The Withcer” man you’ll miss one of the great rpg of the year
Oh yeah, that loses them a few points..
Highly recommend Mario Galaxy for everyone this holiday season…best Miyamoto game since Mario Bros. 3 (!)
Mario Galaxy will definitely be the next game I get.
I recommend Uncharted drakes fortune, its great game with really nice looking visuals and idea.
also the enviroments and levels may also give some nice new inspiration for areas/lvls for future bethesda game products.
myself might check assasins creed, since I loved the way oblivion handled the dark brotherhood quests so I learned to love the theme of assasination(medival like)
COD4,Rockband,Assassins Creed..all pretty good games.
not having Uncharted on the list = fail!
Oblivion (PS3) owns my soul i might want it back one day
Yay,you made it on Kotaku..Uncharted looks good, gotta open the copy on my desk.
Uncharted is the next game I’m picking up (unless someone else gets it for me first)
I still have to play it..Tied up with about 4 games on the 360 but everyone seems to love it..
