The Blue Bomber is back! Several guys at the office are gaming like it’s 1989 with Mega Man 9 — a retrofied awesomefest for the ages. Are those real words? Doesn’t matter..it’s just that good.

Here’s a list of what what we’re playing. Have a great weekend!

Dan Ross, QA: WipeOut HD, Megaman 9, Warhammer Online.

Tim “Visor” Lamb, Producer: CoD4, Mega Man 9, trying to find a fairway.

Matt Grandstaff: LittleBigPlanet Beta, Metal Gear Solid 4, Mega Man 9.

Dane Olds, Artist: Mega Man 9 (while trying not to throw my controller through the TV), Duke Nukem 3D, STALKER: Clear Sky, Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow (getting ready for Order of Ecclesia).

Craig Lafferty, Producer: Warhammer Online, Peggle Nights, Madden 09.

Ricardo Gonzalez, Late to the Party: Have you heard of this “Lego Star Wars II” dealie?  It’s not a bad game!

Ruben Brown, QA Project Lead: “Hunt the Wumpus.” No, not really. I just wanted to rack someone’s brain with nostalgia. Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock.

Matt Weil: Stalker, Project Reality, Call of Duty 4.

Gary Noonan, Animator: Sins of a Solar Empire.

Michael Lattanzia, QA: Spore and Warhammer Online.

  1. Mega Man ugh! I never could finish any of those games. I finally stopped at four out of sheer frustration.

As for retro-gaming. I just installed Might And Magic 6-7-8 thanks to some fan made patches which allow them to be played on WinXP. Talk about travelling back in time. Amazing how immersive those games were from the very first intro animation. Am also enjoying some Warhammer40k FINAL LIBERATION. Heh nothing like sending a spread of missiles from a titan onto a foolish group of orcs standing in the middle of a clear road :D
