Last Thursday we held a Fallout 3 Launch Party in downtown Los Angeles at LA Center Studios. A great time was had by all — from walking the Brotherhood of Steel-protected red carpet to rocking out with the Foo Fighters.
Being that it was LA, I certainly found myself stargazing a bit at the event. I ran into Gerard Butler (Leonidas from from 300), James Marsden (Cyclops from X-Men), and several other folks from Tinseltown. It wasn’t until I got to the party that I learned that Courteney Cox (who attended with her husband, David Arquette) was actually once an employee here at Bethesda waaay back in the day. And if you’re wondering…no, I didn’t get a chance to talk with Lauren Conrad from The Hills, who attended as well.
Special thanks to Pete, Erin, Tracey, Kate, and everyone else that made the party such a blast.

woow wish I was there! looks like a pretty cool party
yeah, looks really cool. seems like you guys were handled as popstars. i hope in the future game developers are becoming as famous as actual actors and getting much more appreciation for heir really hard and creative work.
if f3 looks just a little bit like the actual previews i have to marry u, even if i´m a man.
best greetz
Yeah me too
Looks like you guys had a lot of fun. Wish I was there. Can’t wait for the game, you guys put a lot of work into it.
Oh to be in the gaming industry…
So… wheres all the stuff from this event going now that its over?
I’ll give you my address, you can send it all to me, seriously :]

The silly huge shoulder wings don’t seem so huge on the statue.
Wow that must have been something seeing the Ink Spots playing live. I thought they would all be dead by now.
Those Radiation King televisions look really cool. Talk about so many things to do yet so little time to indulge fully.FALLOUT 3,Ink Spots, Foo Fighters, Devs, Super models…what to choose? What to choose to do?
thats an easy descision. of course choose to play fallout 3. anything else is so unimportant. may be talking to the toddster while you keep playing to get some secrets of the game revealed and to tell him what a great game they made. just 3 days left. that´s too long!

FALLOUT 3 though you can play over and over again once its released. Enjoying this once in a life time entertainment extravanganza party is something you only do once and whose to say if Bethesda will have the money to do it again for TES V not to mention the personal energy. I hope Todd Howard and Pete Hines along with the rest of Bethesda enjoy a long vacation and plenty of grand accolades from the gaming community.
And yes i know they have already split up into different teams and are working on their next projects. Truly they know the meaning of the words job and work
ok, you are right. but playing f3 so early before the release in such a location is a chance you´ll never get twice.
i think the time after f3 is really hard. hope it takes not again 10 years for a new part. i have a lot of ideas for part 4… (e. g. playing with vehicles in the game. driving on an old motorcycle trough the wasteland while you killing some mutants is the greatest fun i can imagine so far
)
Am I wrong, or I just got the impression that Beth was throwing this party? If that’s the case, I’m in awe of that shitload of money they use at marketing…
wow thats crazy that courtney cox once worked for bethesda.
Lest the foo fighters was there.probly the best thing there.besides watching the gameplay.
wow! so much for the image of the nerdy video games kid with tape on his glasses.
wow i really wish i was there. my mom is a big fan of the hills. lol.
Odette Yustman is totally hot
