What we’re playing: So much awesomeness!

sw-awesome.jpg

As we near the end of the October, the list of games we want to play continues to grow. Devs are frenetically playing through the likes of Dead Space, Fable 2, Far Cry 2, and more — so they can move onto games like Wrath of the Lich King, Resistance 2, and Call of Duty: World at War when they arrive. Too much awesome!

Have a great weekend!

Cory Dornbusch, QA: Burning the Serengeti dry grass in Far Cry 2, running around Albion with my dog in Fable 2(I named him Dogma, get it! har har har.), and Dead Space to see how many ways Isaac can die in the most gruesome way. Kudos to all the dev teams that made these truly awesome games!

Joel Burgess: So much Fable 2.

Ryan Sears, World Artist, Zombie Aficionado: Fallout 3, Fable 2, a (hopefully) epic session of Fury of Dracula tonight, and maybe some Last Night on Earth this weekend.

Tihana Tresnjak-Smith, QA Tester: Fable 2, Rock Band 2.

  1. Yea DEAD SPACE is one ghoulish game with the cool dismemberment effects and the on body armor stats which tell the player how they are doing with health weapon ammo and armor.

Finally playing THE WITCHER for the first time now that the Enhanced Edition is out aswell as NEVERWINTER NIGHTS 2 Gold Editon. Boy those are some richly detailed game worlds. Ah its good to get games late sometimes.

Oh also enjoying DAWN OF WAR SOULSTORM now that the latest and very large patch just came out this week for it.

  2. It’s been up and down for me but I’m getting ready for it to explode!

Finished Witcher and then bought Stalker: Clear Sky only to give up on it due to private matters concerning the game and too many crashes. I got back in to Team Fortress 2 heavily and still reading reviews trying to see if Far Cry 2 will be worth it. So hard to say. Seems that people either love it or hate it.

I guess FC2 will have to wait anyway because I have this little known game coming in the mail Tuesday called Fallout Boy 2 or something like that. After I finish that one by Thursday or Friday (heh) I’ll be getting Left 4 Dead and possibly Mirror’s Edge in November. Oh, and Empire:Total War is right around the corner.

Gaming goodness is here my brothers and sisters!

  3. I managed to get a copy of Little Big Planet this weekend, so that’s eaten up most of my time. I beat the main story mode already. :)

  4. It’s nice to see people enjoying dead space! My first game is finally out :D I’ll be playing fallout 3 on Friday when my copy finally arrives in the down-underverse.

  5. Huzzah for George R. R. Martin

Looked at some videos and such for Dragon Age: Origins, which cited Martin as inspiration, and it looks to be a very engaging story.

Picking up Fallout 3 tomorrow, cant wait to sink my teeth into some post apocalyptic adventure.
