There’s plenty of great new games being played these days — Dawn of War 2, Puzzle Quest: Galactrix, Street Fighter IV or more — but after seeing the above photo at 1Up — I figured we had to feature Killzone 2. I’ve heard a lot of great things about the game, and I look forward to sitting down with it.

Here’s the rest of the games we’re playing this weekend…

Craig Lafferty, Senior Producer: Killzone 2, Zen Bound, World of Warcraft.

Jay Woodward, AI Programmer: GTA IV: The Lost and Damned, iDracula, and more of the Battlestar Galactica boardgame.

Chris Esko, Gameplay Programmer: Puzzle Quest: Galactrix, Rock Band 2, trying to resist buying a new computer to play Dawn of War II.

Sam Bernstein, QA: Chrono Trigger, Halo 3, Left 4 Dead, and Team Fortress 2.

Ryan Lea: Braid, Gears of War 2.

Fred Zeleny, Doctor of Spaceology: Puzzle Quest Galactrix and the Battlestar Galactica boardgame. Taking war against robots and colored hexes requires eternal vigilance, galloping paranoia, and chain combos.

Adam Adamowicz: Fallout 3.

Gary Noonan, Animator: Mass Effect…. again.

Pete Hines: Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon, Puzzle Quest Galaxtrix, Dawn of War II, Far Cry 2.

Ashley Cheng, Production Director: Uncharted.

Mike Lipari: Galactrix.

Matt Killmon, Video Producer: Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney… except I just realized I managed to skip over the third game. Need to pick that one up.

E McNeill: TrackMania Nations Forever, Far Cry 2, Prince of Persia

Mark Lampert, Audio Director: Grand Theft Auto IV

Ruben Brown, QA Lead:  Street Fighter IV, GTA IV, Resident Evil IV

Michael Lattanzia, QA: Burnout Paradise (on 360 for achievements this time), Monster Hunter Freedom 2, and a bunch of time programming an XNA game.

Aaron Mitschelen, QA: Prinny: Can I Really be the Hero, LotRO, Rule of Rose.

Louis Riley: GTA IV DLC, Street Fighter 4, FEAR 2, Left 4 Dead.

Brent Krische, QA Tester: Just Flower, and it’s easily my 2009 PSN game of the year if not a contender for overall game of the year.

Tim “Visor” Lamb, Producer: Street Fighter IV and COD4.

Andrew Scharf: Flying to Phoenix this weekend, so I’ll be playing a ton of Chrono Trigger DS and God of War: Chains of Olympus on the plane.

Joel Burgess: Gears of War 2, Animal Crossing: City Folk, Puzzle Quest: Galactrix

Matt Grandstaff: Killzone 2, Street Fighter IV (now with Tournament Stick), Fable 2, Flower, GTA IV DLC.

Reader Comments

  1. Mirror’s Edge (actually innovative game, unlike Killzone 2), Stalker Clear Sky (awesome with latest patches), Grand Theft Auto 4 (pretty good, not as good as GTA 3 though).

  2. Fallout 3(PC) again… I had an odd bug where I couldn’t trade with anyone at all. Well, I could but after it was done the text vanished and all I could do was stare at the person whom I had sold the stuff to. Fortunately all I had to do was quit the game and restart it before I could go on.
