What we’re playing: Halo again edition

IntoTheFray2.jpg

It’s been awhile since I’ve seen devs playing Halo 3, but it looks like the release of the Mythic Map Pack has folks coming back for more. I might even give it a whirl myself — I need to get back in a groove before Halo 3: ODST gets released.

Below are the rest of the games we’re playing. Have a great weekend!

  1. @ Aaron Mitschelen….

Yea! 2 Ulduar bosses down!!! Im on 3, nub…. lol were trying Ignis the furnace master…. hes impossible.

  2. OK, I AM REALLY PISSED! I expect some news on the Broken Steel DLC and you give us this BS! Now, Instead of playing these games, hoping to be able to find some remote part of it you can rip off or reference to… WORK ON THE FRICKEN’ DLC! Ok, with all these games and all this new stuff coming out, no one will care if someone own’s another at Halo. No one will care if some random PC gamer makes a MOD for one of your games; AND, no one cares if one of your producers happens to beat a world record or gets promoted. All we, the fans of Bathesda want is news on the upcoming games or DLC’s. If we wanted a MOD, we’d google it. If we wanted to know your owning some one on CoD4, we would’ve went on XBox live. IF WE WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT AN EMPLOYEE’S PROMOTION, WE WOULD’VE VISITED YOUR U.S. HEAD QUARTERS! Next time you post, I’m hoping it will be something on the Broken Steel DLC.

P.S. There is a rumor going around that your delaying the Broken Steel DLC untill September. Please try to clear this rumor up as best as you can.

  3. Tf2 , Majora’s mask , KOTOR , Fable lost chapters and a lil bit of fallout3 :)

Oh and also azure dreams on the gameboy coulour (amazing game , would like a remake :D)

  4. Dawn Of War II
    Left4Dead
    Unreal Tournament 3
    Daggerfall
    Morrowind
    Oblivion
    Fallout 3

I would be playing Painkiller Overdose but when i almost finished the game went wonky on. May have been from applying the single retail package patch which was not meant for the Painkiller Triple Dose compilation which i have. Uhhhh those Painkiller patches always make me dizzy.

Am also playing the game of conversation with my friends as we enjoy the warmer weather :D

  5. I meant to write:

[I would be playing Painkiller Overdose but when i almost finished the game it went wonky on me.]

Surprised theres still not an edit function on this blog. Must be on purpose to make us look like..FOOLS!

  6. Alright, if you people want a recommendation on what you could be playing, try Contra 4. That or the Earthworm Jim series. Maybe you can reference Jim’s red gun in an upcoming DLC or Fallout game by having a weapon based off of it’s design. Just think, a fully-automatic plasma handgun and something similar to Jim’s Pocket Rocket for fast and easy travel. Maybe you could include Alien Power Armour. Yeah, A-84n, make that. The people who have the XBox 360 version don’t have access to MODs and the PS3 users don’t have ANY access to the Down loadable content.

Another nice idea is to have a quest in a future Fallout game, where you have to cooperate with Earthworm Jim. Don’t give me that “well we can’t do it because we don’t have the rights” BS. Just rent the rights for Earthworm Jim from Interplay and use the rights to put Earthworm Jim in Fallout 4 or 5 as an NPC you can recruit or interact with on a quest.

seriously, all kinds of Earthworm Jim fan boys would love to fight side-by-side with the wacky legend. Also, a nice idea for the quest with Earthworm Jim would be to have it in space on a vessel where you have to take down Queen slug-for-a-butt. That, or have it take place on Princess what’s-her-name’s planet and try to stop Psycrow from doing something. Or possibly have the quest follow the whole damsel in distress pattern. Have the quest end with the player character and Earthworm Jim save Princess What’s-her-name.

From who is with you guys. Though going back to my A-84n idea. It’s an alien form of Power Armour but has a very thick over-shield much like master chiefs in Halo 3. I know you guys already have the Tesla Armour which has an over-shield, but that’s beside the point. The Armour it self will add an aditional 2 strength, an additional unit of agility, and another unit of endurance. Have the Helmet give an additional point of charisma and two points of perception. Have the Damage resistance for the suit be 61 and the damage resistance for the Helmet be 11.

There are your ability and damage resistance modifiers, all you need now is a design for the suit and helmet themselves. Finally, Make it so the player character can only get it two ways. One, a random encounter. Two, A quest you include with a future DLC package or include it with the game. Also, give it as much hit points as the winterized power armor that you accidentally put in the main game. you know, give the suit about 10 million hit points and the helmet just about 1,000,000. Wow, I’ve just been rambling here, so lets end this.

  7. I just played through Halo 3 for the first time this weekend and it was very well done.

My only qualm is that the AI is crap for driving and you will miss a cut scene if you’re like me and skip the credits.

I’m not so sure about the multiplayer though.

  8. Well my weekend had Fallout 3, trying to get the bobbleheads. And some GTAIV online…only when friends were playing.

  9. @Billy Zane: We had three down in 10 man (we do tens if people slack off and we can’t fill a balanced 25), but only Flame Leviathan and Razorscale in 25. We got XT down over the weekend, and spent time on Ignis too. He’s really rough, to be sure, but I wouldn’t say impossible. We had him to 59% on our best attempt. Bosses inside are easier. A combination of learning the fight and snagging gear off those easier bosses should make Ignis doable.

  10. @Aaron Mitschelen

Yea thats kinda what we are doing as well, snagging up all the easier bosses gear we can and moving onto the harder bosses.

The new boss in VoA is a tough one too, but once you get it down, hes not so bad.

We do the same thing with our raids, if 25 mans are slacking we move to a good 10 man, even the 10 man gear is better than Naxx 25.

  11. @Billy Zane: Emelon was no problem once we got the DPS breaking off to down the buffed rager fast enough. The rest of the fight was pretty simple. That said, he’s certainly not the pinata that Archavon was.
