What we’re playing

Between a trip to London, a DLC release, and the id announcement, I got so busy I forgot to post last week’s “What We’re Playing.” So without further ado, here’s what the guys were playing (as of last week). From the emails I got, the game that got the most votes for the “featured game” was Ghostbusters, which I plan on checking out when it’s available in our game library.

Mike Dulany, Programmer (terrified beyond the capacity for rational thought): Ghostbusters.

Chris Esko, Programmer: Ghostbusters, Red Faction: Guerilla, the acronym-tastic XBLA : MtG : DotP.

Liz Beetem, Artist: Playing a lot of Prototype because I have to hurl these pedestrians to safety away from this zombie hoard. Oh god, they hit a helicopter, oh god I’m sorry. Here I’ll catch you I just have to run through this crowd top speed with my meatshield art turning everything into a red mist. Oh oops, oh god I’m sorry again.

Matt Ponton, QA: Street Fighter IV

Matt Grandstaff, Community Manager: Peggle, inFamous, and GTA: Chinatown Wars.

Shane Liesegang, Designer: DnD Offline, Call of Cthulhu (now that it’s on Steam woooo!).

Sean Palomino, QA Tester: Gears of War 2, Left 4 Dead, and Prototype.

Jen Tonon, QA: Medieval Games, World of Warcraft, Bejeweled Blitz, and Fallout 3 DLC: The Pitt.

Brent Krische: Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventures: Muzzled!, Super Mario Galaxy, and hopefully I can put a dent in the massive backlog of demos I need to check out

Fred Zeleny, Eclectic Gamer: tanking in WoW, diving into Knights in the Nightmare, and laying down groundwork for running an Eberron campaign.

Brent Krische: Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventures: Muzzled!, Super Mario Galaxy, and hopefully I can put a dent in the massive backlog of demos I need to check out.

Daryl Brigner, Level Designer: Finally beat Plants vs. Zombies so I can catch up to my wife.  Maybe get further in Prototype.

Michael Lattanzia, QA: Monster Hunter Freedom 2 (gearing up for the Unite release on Tuesday!), Dokapon Kingdom, Ghostbusters (360), Burnout Paradise (Big Surf Island is awesome!), and who knows what else… maybe some Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles. I’ll probably do something Mordheim related as well.

Aaron Mitschelen, QA: WoW, Disgaea 3, and Sims 3.

Ricardo Gonzalez, Morticulturalist: Plants vs. Zombies with a soupçon of Team Fortress 2.

Jon DeVriendt, QA: Red Faction Guerrilla, Company of Heroes, and Starcraft!

Pete Hines: Prototype

Jeff Browne, Level Designer: Plants vs Zombies — just hit 40 flags on survival endless last night before a lone snorkeler got me.

    Is that a description of the gameplay or is that a description of the gameplay? :D

    Just picked up the FALLOUT 3 GAME ADD-ON PACK with THE PITT and OPERATION ANCHORAGE DLCs at the recently opened BEST BUY in the area. So that’ll keep me occupied and distracted from the numbing loneliness of life :D

    Am also enjoying the buetiful so called DIABLO clone LOKI. Playing a female Greek Fighter but might also create another character with the Norse Warrior just to see how different i can make him from my current character.
