What we’re playing

This week I’m hearing left and right how great Battlefield 1943 (Xbox LIVE, PlayStation Network) is, and from the looks of it, a bunch of guys at the office are going to be waging war this weekend. Hopefully I can squeeze in sometime with the game once I get back home Sunday — if not, I’ll be enjoying some great new iPhone games, including Drop7.

Let us know what you’ll be playing…have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Bah Battlefield 1943 is just an attempt to squeeze the last buck out of the once so great Battlefield series. And what 4 maps (and only one of the good once). Ofcourse they also try to make it something for their console gamers first and foremost, but still. It’s not worth it.
Still waiting for Bethesdas apparently small connection to get less crowded so i can download Daggerfall and play it again.

  2. Wow I thought I was the only one who played Call of Juarez – Bound in Blood – Good going Emil!

Besides COJ, I’m playing Daggerfall, Fallout 3 and I just finsihed Overlord II.

  4. Currently: Drooling at Dragon Age videos.

I’ll be playing Daggerfall and Shining Force most the weekend.

And I’ll proudly be playing WoW. In yo FACE Billy Zane! lol

  5. Playing Fallout 3 mostly, perhaps FF 7. My computer is busted, so no PC games like Deus Ex, Thief, or Total War: Rome / Empires. But shouldn’t yall be working on PS3 DLC? Just a joke

Sweet nostalgia indeed. Great Scott even LOOM is being played!

As for me am playing the free :D version of DAGGERFALL along with indulging in a retro game attack on my Commodore Amiga 500 playing Ralph Reed’s BATTLE FORCE. The closest thing to a true strategy translation of Fasa’s BATTLETECH boardgame on a computer yet. Am also enjoying some GODS and THE KILLING GAME SHOW.

Cant believe how well these oldies stand up to the present day games.

  7. Ahh. ya know what ever i really feel like i guess. But probably any thing that runs on a DS or PSP since im goin CAMPING! And i really want to try the new transforms BUT EVIL BLOCKBUSTER NEVER HAS IT!!!!!

Yea alot of great games on the PSP and DS. My friend is always buying two to five games a week for them usually puzzle or racing games or something like LEGO STAR WARS.

If theres a GAMESTOP or BEST BUY near you they have a greater chance of having what you want. I got the elusive FALLOUT 3 DLC ADD ON PACK at BEST BUY when none of the other places had it in my area after two weeks being out already.

I cant believe how stable and wonderful DAGGERFALL is playing on my WIN XP system. Its like playing the original in a pure dos setup. The sound is perfect and even the backward movement which didnt work in WIN XP is perfect moving as fast as forward movement. Framerates are amazing. An excellent release of a classic. Thanks Bethesda :D

  9. I’m playing Serious Sam II, Fallout 3 and of course The Elder Scrolls II: DAGGERFALL. I have already finished the Arena, so it’s time for Daggerfall.

  10. Thief: Deadly Shadows, while I wait for Thief 2 to arrive after buying it on eBay.

Found Thief: Deadly Shadows in a bargain bin last month, only got it because it was a three games for ten bucks deal and I had to pick out another game to go with the Fallout 1 and 2. I played it and……best game I have played in years, one of my all time favorite games now, can’t wait for Thief 2 to arrive.
