With the release of WET last week, there was excitement at our office to get a new game for free. This weekend I noticed plenty of folks playing the game on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 (I actually completed it about an hour ago).

As I guessed last week, Scribblenauts is another one of the popular picks at the office. If you’ve got a DS, there’s plenty of guys here that would tell you that you NEED to play it. As for this coming week, putting on my swami hat again, I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that we’ll have plenty of people playing a a little game called ODST this week.

Find out more of the games we’re playing below.

Brett Douville, aka Mr Sunshine: WET, Far Cry 2, and Penny Arcade Adventures Episode 2

Sean Palomino - Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 and WET.

Sam Bernstein, Wordsmith: Sooooo much Scribblenauts. Also, finally got a copy of Crossfire; can’t wait to play it this weekend.

Brent Krische: Final Fantasy IV DS, WET, Final Fantasy IV: The After Years, CaveIn, and I am hopefully going to pick up Batman: Arkham Asylum and Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story.

Fred Zeleny, Adventurous Quest Designer: Slicing my way through beautiful artwork in Muramasa, delving my way through giant turtles in Mario & Luigi: Bowser Inside Story, and lost in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike in Time Fcuk.

Jay Woodward: Batman: Arkham Asylum, Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box, and Shadowrun 4 [tabletop]

Ryan Salvatore: Scribblenauts, Final Fantasy Tactics A-2, WoW, TF2, and perhaps Half-Life 2.

  1. I actually just finished Batman about ten minutes ago. Pretty good. WET is next on my stack o’ games to play. Time to dust off ‘ye olde’ PS3… After that I’ll have to go with Fred and play the new Mario game.

  2. My welcome surprise for the weekend was Zuma’s Revenge – the downloadable 1-hr demo from PopCap’s site. It was the most perfect fun I’ve seen since Peggle.

I also celebrated Talk Like A Pirate day by downloading for free the first part of the new Tales of Monkey Island – but haven’t actually played it yet. I guess it qualifies as a demo, since it’s only a bit of the game, but I loved Monkey Island SE so it’s all good.

The rest of my time was taken up with trying and failing to get Morrowind Graphics Extender to work. The thought of seeing Morrowind with ‘infinite view distance’, animated grass and HDR/bloom effects just makes me feel all giggly.

Looking forward to getting WET. :)

  3. I know your pain well Princess Stomper.. I spent the whole blimey weekend trying for a wonderful modded MORROWIND experiance but it was one bug after another coming up. From imperial knee caps showing through armor to doubling of monks standing real close to each other in formation while the front one whistles a tune. It was worse then a hive acttack in STARSHIP TROOPERS there was so many bugs.

But am fighting back with a strong dose of VANILLA MODLESS! with all games Bethesda for the next few months to fight this bug scourge! Yummy VANILLA MODLESS! YEA!

As for other games am fortunate to be playing:

    CARMAGEDDON
    CLUTCH
    DAGGERFALL
    WOLFENSTEIN truly underappreciated
    NECROVISION
    PENUMBRA COLLECTION
LEFT4DEAD getting psyched up for the sequel

Will have to let my friend with the DS know about SCRIBBLENAUTS.

  4. Shadow Complex….that was about it for me, got all the achievements now. Waiting for Assassin’s Creed to come in the mail, should be this weekend.
