Todd making (radio) waves again

DJ Todd is at it again. Following an appearance on Kotaku Talk Radio yesterday, Todd was featured this morning in a news story on NPR.

Joshua Brockman’s story, When Pay Means Play: Video Game Jobs on the Rise, is apart of an ongoing series this week on NPR called New Jobs For A New Decade. Featuring Todd and a few others, the story focuses on the growing popularity of games in the United States, and the new jobs coming out of that demand.

  1. Did you just call him DJ Todd?

I use a wireless 360 Controller for Saints Row 2 and GTA IV on the PC, but that’s because the ported controls are HORRIBLE and those agames are great for kicking back to play.

Fallout 3 is standard Bethesda FP Controls. Meaning they’re both easy and practical. For Shame, Todd Howard. For Shaaame. :D

  2. He probably has the controller there so he can test with both. I prefer the controller in Fallout 3 over a mouse and keyboard anyway.

  3. Actually guys, if you look closely, you can see he’s playing on the 360. The dev kit is there next to the lamp along with the second keyboard.

I didnt even notice that! NOOOOO! Blinded by the brilliance of magnificence that is..TODD HOWARD.

  5. Great interview. I especially like the advice on how to break into the industry. But I just cannot believe not a single person asked about TESV. If only I had called in…

  6. I loved hearing Todd say “animations could be better”. That’s something I’ve been saying for awhile now…just glad to hear that from Beth. employee. I’m hoping there’s room in the budget for motion capture.

  7. Of course games are popular here, this is a first world country that started gaming. I’m surprised we don’t have more American consoles, though I guess we did have a lot at one time. I just wish that they would make a MMO that is American and not WOW thats good, Huxley were are you?

  8. Any plans on fixing the excessive freezing problem on the goty fallout or did we waste 60$ on something that shouldnt have had that problem in the first place?
