What we’re playing…

justcause206.jpg

Hooray for the weekend. With so many great games already released this year — Just Cause 2, Mass Effect 2, God of War 3,  and Bad Company 2…to name a few — it looks like many at the office are trying to play catch up. And with Game Room releasing on Xbox LIVE this week, some of us are catching up on games that are 30 years old!!! Meanwhile, a couple folks (Andrew and Emil) are catching up on games that haven’t even been released at PAX East…lucky dogs.

Let us know the games you’re playing. Have a great weekend!

Brent Krische: Seeking the truth in Ace Attorney: Investigations: Miles Edgeworth, walking on fire in Mass Effect 2, swimming with the fishes in Endless Ocean 2, and building my own arcade in Game Room.

Rick Vicens: Final Fantasy XIII, Lord of Ultima, and Uncharted 2.

Jon Paul Duvall: ME2, BFBC2, and various PnP RPGs.

Daryl Brigner: God of War 3, Metro 2033, and Just Cause 2.

Emil Pagliarulo: Everything at PAX East! :)

Mike Dulany: Left for Dead 2, God of War 3, and Street Fighter 4.

Matt Grandstaff: Game Room to play Yar’s Revenge for the first time since I was five years old, Fight Night Round 4, Assassin’s Creed 2, and Mass Effect.

Shannon Bailey: Final Fantasy XIII

Dave Ratti: Starcraft 2 beta!

Michael Lattanzia: Lord of the Rings Online, Entropia Universe, Monster Hunter Tri Demo, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, and Champions Online (3 MMOs? I must be crazy…)

Cory Dornbusch: Starcraft 2 Beta.

Gary Powell: Still on Final Fantasy XIII. Working on getting the marks and the Titan’s challenge.

Jeff Senita: DOOM (Xbox Live Arcade) and Galatea (an interactive fiction by Emily Short).

Aaron Mitschelen: Borderlands, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, and Fate/Unlimited Codes.

Michael Musick: Just Cause 2, Killing Floor, and Mount & Blade (which is surprisingly awesome and addicting).

Andrew Scharf: Playing some crazy awesome games at PAX East!

Joseph Mueller: Still getting some use from the PS3 with FFXIII. Been playing X360 Game Room, and Arcading it with some Ikaruga and Metal Slug. Throwing it back to my quarter eating days.

Shane Liesegang: Playing God of War III, All Heroes Die Beta, and watching the trailer for 3D Dot Game Heroes over and over and over.

William Shen: Mass Effect, Majesty 2, and Torchlight.

Peter Sokal: Final Fantasy XIII, Bad Company 2, and Chaos Rising is the plan… Gonna take a while to get through all three!

Alistair Hatch: Battlefield. Battlefield. Battlefield. Battlefield. Battlefield. Battlefield. Battlefield. Battlefield. Battlefield. Battlefield. Battlefield. Battlefield. Battlefield. Battlefield. Battlefield. Battlefield. Battlefield. Battlefield. Battlefield. Battlefield. Battlefield. Battlefield. Battlefield. Battlefield. On a par with L4D for best multiplayer experience.

Greg Hounsom: God of War III and Battlefield BC 2.

Matt Weil: Bad Company 2 and Starcraft 2.

Bruce Nesmith: Batman: Arkham Asylum.

Dane Olds: Looks like Wii games for me for a change. Cave Story, and Castlevania: Rondo of Blood

Nick Bredon: Metro 2033, Just Cause 2 and the StarCraft II beta.

Matthew Dickenson: God of War 3 and Bad Company 2.

Mark Lampert: GTA IV and anxiously awaiting Red Dead Redemption in May.

Orin Tresnjak: Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Just Cause 2, and Patchwork Heroes

Laffy Taylor: Bioshock 2 and trucks with my 3 year-old.

Sam Bernstein: Power Grid for the traditional Bernstein Board Games and Basketball evening.  Still chugging along with FFXIII, I’ve given up on pretending I’m going to start playing Mass Effect 2 this week.

  1. Gonna reinstall and play some HALF LIFE 2 this weekend in honor of Robert Culp who passed away this week who played the really “there” main villain.

    Also playing:

    TORCHLIGHT
DIVINITY 2 DRACONIS EGO oh those mobs!
DAWN OF WAR 2 CHAOS RISING Expansion wow even Skirmish mode rocks :D
    DRAGON AGE AWAKENINGS Expansion
    OBLIVION
    FALLOUT 3
    SUPREME COMMANDER FORGED ALLIANCE Expansion

  2. [Serious Sam (not HD) on PC. It looks really outdated, but it’s still fun to play. Hope I’ll buy the HD version for 360.

I think its holding up pretty well and its great to play it after all these years on max settings with no slow downs :D It also doesnt need any config tricks to make it work on current systems which is great. Just install, patch and play unlike some classic goodies like MIGHT AND MAGIC 6 and 7 which needed fan patches to run correctly on Win XP and higher.

Right now am playing some OBLIVION with OSCURO’S OBLIVION OVERHAUL mod and some modless FALLOUT 3. Gonna squeeze in some DIVINITY 2 DRACONIS EGO and HALF LIFE 2 later in the evening hours.

    I completely agree with you

Verily you have my vote of certification to become a Psychiatrist glamshot!

Now wheres my ear plugs a passive agressive elderly neighbor is acting out again…

At the moment playing MORROWIND, OBLIVION and FALLOUT 3 after uninstalling them due to zany mod oddness once again. Think i’ll stick to no mods for a looong time and just add in music to spice things up. The soundtracks to BATTLESPIRE and DAGGERFALL go perfect with OBLIVION.

  4. Also playing Lord of Ultima. I havn’t had much time to play anything else at college. Keep it up guys! Love your work, I’m glad you’re getting some time off to catch up on games.

  5. The Just Cause 2 demo is one of the few demos to completely convince me to buy the game, which I immediately did 30 mins after playing it. It’s a great game so far… combat and action that will be remembered.
