We’re pleased to announce Fallout: New Vegas digital pre-order packs are now available in North America through participating retailers and will be available worldwide soon. The Classic, Tribal, Caravan, and Mercenary packs each contain in-game items offered exclusively through Direct2Drive, GameStop, Amazon, Steam, Walmart and Best Buy.

More details after the break…

The Classic Pack (pictured above), available when you pre-order through GameStop, contains:

  • Armored Vault 13 Suit – Extensively patched up and dotted with piecemeal armor, this outfit is an homage to the classic ending of the original Fallout.
  • Vault 13 Canteen – This handy device is useful for staving off dehydration and providing a small amount of healing in the Mojave Wasteland.
  • Weathered 10mm Pistol – A well-worn 10mm pistol that packs an extra punch despite its modest size.
  • 5 Stimpaks – Food and water are good for long-term healing, but when the fighting is fierce, Stimpaks help keep Wastelanders upright.

The Tribal Pack, available when you pre-order through Amazon or Direct2Drive contains:

  • Tribal Raiding Armor – Pieced together from scraps of armor, this outfit provides protection without impacting mobility.
  • Broad Machete – This heavy-bladed melee weapon does high damage against limbs and can quickly deal out a flurry of attacks.
  • 5 Bleak Venom doses – Useful on any Melee Weapon, Bleak Venom makes short of work of most living targets.
  • 10 Throwing Spears – If you would like to silently pin an enemy’s head to a wall, Throwing Spears are the way to do it.

The Caravan Pack, available when you pre-order through Steam and Walmart, contains:

  • Lightweight Leather Armor – This hand-modified suit of leather armor reduces its overall weight without impacting its ability to protect.
  • Sturdy Caravan Shotgun – Despite its rough appearance, this Caravan Shotgun will reliably fire 20 gauge shells until the Brahmin come home.
  • 4 Repair Kits – Useful for repairing any outfit or weapon, Repair Kits are a valuable tool for any caravaner.
  • Binoculars — The Mojave Wasteland is a dangerous place, but with these trusty Binoculars you’ll be able to spot trouble coming.

The Mercenary Pack, available when you pre-order through Best Buy, contains:

  • Lightweight Metal Armor – Modified for long-range travel, this Metal Armor sacrifices some protection for mobility and overall weight.
  • Mercenary’s Grenade Rifle – Though similar to other 40mm Grenade Rifles in the Mojave Wasteland, this model has a faster reload cycle.
  • 3 Super Stimpaks – When you absolutely, positively, need to keep your blood inside your body, Super Stimpaks fix you up in no time.
  • 3 Doctors Bags – Mercenaries and broken limbs go together like Iguana-on-a-Stick and Nuka Cola. Thankfully, these Doctors Bags take a bit of sting out of the inevitable crushed skull.

  1. Hey

I got my preordered Fallout via GameStop which sucks because 36 hrs wdas the delay in ordering UNTIL I had a link to begin my download. I DL’ed the installer which downloaded just 2.68 MB and shows as an installer in Control; Panel. NOTHING happens when I try to start this from the file folder, shortcut , or from the START menu.

What do I need to do?

  2. Ordered at Gamestop, picked it up at midnight, opened it up, installed game, tried to use classic pack redemption code. Nothing. Doesn’t work. Says it’s invalid. I’m not off to a good start…

  3. I jus got fallout new vages home, but when I redeem the PSN Code in the store, it tells me the code is incorrect or no longer valid

  4. Apparently, for PS3 owners, the invalid Gamestop code is a known issue, and Sony’s working on making them work by 5pm pacific time (according to Gamestop employee).

  5. I pre-ordered the game from Walmart specifically because of the Caravan pack. Got the game today and it had the Classic pack, not the Caravan pack. I am royally pissed!!!

  6. I received the Collector’s Edition from Walmart yesterday and was disappointed to see it came with the Classic Pack instead of the Caravan Pack. I could have used that shotgun, especially when the Geico Ghecko is laughing at me for being in a whimpy Vault 13 suit instead of the tough guy leather armor! Guess I will just have to name my character Wessley. :(

  7. UHH whats the point of giving a PRE ORDER BONUS that doesnt work for days after the games been released, seriously they didnt think to test this before the official release?had the game for 2 days now and my code still doesnt work,In australia, xbox using the GAME caravan pack,Want my shotty dagnammit, already FOUND MY OWN binox thanks.. fix it?

  8. I pre ordered this from play.com, its arrived and it works, but i have no idea how to activate the caravan pack, ive looked in the data files, not there, nor did any code or anything come with the game, help!

  9. @Dave Giggy Go to My XBox, then Manage Account, then Redeem Code and enter it there.

The same place where you would redeem a gold account card or whatever. The instructions they give are probably for the other 360 Dashboard.

    I hope that helps. :)

  10. dear all, FINALLY I received my preordered collectors edition of F:NV – the parcel service had some issues. so I entered my preorder code (PS3) and got the message “no longer valid or wrong entered” – there were no mistakes because I entered them 4 times. I asked game.co.uk and they provided me another code – same issue… :S are they expired?

  11. So, I pre-ordered my copy of New Vegas from Best Buy, but I did not get the DLC code for the Mercenary Pack. I went back to the store to ask about it, they said that it WAS included with my pre-order. I’ve checked the package throughly, and nothing. So what should I do about this?

  12. i really wish these were DLC you could buy, id gladly pay for all of them just to try them all out and have more fun in the Nojave wasteland!

  13. June 2011 and I have just started playing Fallout New Vegas even though I pre-ordered it from Amazon UK before the official release date in October 2010. Amazon.UK despatched the game to me on the 22nd Oct 2010 but there was no mention of any pre-Sell “bonus” packs, nor have I any idea how I’d obtain the Tribal pack – reading here it appears that a pre-order from Amazon.co.uk entitled me to such a thing…

How do I obtain this? It’s not downloadable from Steam? Should Amazon have sent me a URL to download from?
