This FREE App gives you a sneak peak at 12 full pages of All Roads, the graphic novel available exclusively in the Fallout: New Vegas Collector’s Edition. All Roads introduces the world of New Vegas, a town of dreamers and desperados being torn apart by warring factions vying for complete control of this desert oasis, and a tells an intriguing tale of loyalty and violence that leads right up to the beginning of the game.
Created in conjunction with Dark Horse Comics and written by Chris Avellone, the game’s senior designer, All Roads is tightly integrated into the story of New Vegas, even containing clues to in-game missions for the sharp-eyed reader. Artists Jean Diaz (Incorruptible) and Wellinton Alves (Shadowland: Blood on the Streets, Nova) and cover artist Geof Darrow (Hard Boiled, The Matrix, Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot) offer their stunningly interpretation the world of New Vegas.

The comic format works great with the iPhone4. I love how you can zoom out to the whole page or zoom in for a “frame by frame” view. It would probably look even better on an iPad… =)
I can’t wait to read the rest of the graphic novel when I get the Collector’s Edition on 10/19…
yanno… i’m gonna pass.
i have iOS devices to use, and, hell, the preview is free. but it’s just a preview! i’m already twisting enough waiting for Oct. 19th to arrive; i don’t need to read just part of the graphic novel and then get cut off. i’ll have nothing to do but torture myself by poring over the same stuff again and again. i’ve got the paper copy from the collector’s edition coming, that will give me something to do while i wait for the game to install.
i’m guessing that the rest of the pages will be available as an in-app purchase around release time. this is a nice way for people to read All Roads if they don’t buy the collector’s edition, but i hope that a digital version is sold in PDF or another common format for the many folks that don’t have iOS devices can enjoy the novel.

i dunno, BF: Bad Company 2, Starcraft 2, Fallout 2, Carcasonne, and Shadowrun might be some appropriate distractions. i’m already waiting enough for the game, don’t need to tease myself with more!
