What we’re playing

What we’re playing this week returns this week — without controllers! With the release of Kinect on Xbox 360, many of developers are spending time jumping and dancing like a fool in front of their TV. The BGS team can consider themselves lucky I wasn’t equipped with a camera when I passed through a Dance Central session on Thursday.

With no videos to share from the office, we’ll have to share this Best Buy employee video. He’s truly the mayor of Funkytown.

Have you tried out Kinect? If so, let us know what you think. And if you’re still using controllers, mouse + keyboard, touch screen, or anything else… that’s okay too.

Reader Comments

  1. I’ve been playing Fallout new vegas non stop! I’ve discovered every location, got every achievement (except for desert survivalist, but I’m close.), I think I’ve finished all the quests but I keep stumbling across more stuff! Absolutely wonderful game.

Probably going to pick up Castlevania LoS or Fable 3 when my new HDTV arrives in a few days :)

Oh, and I’m playing The Elder Scrolls V: Imaginary edition deluxe. So many cliffracers. So many.

  2. i’m playing Fallout: New Vegas, FO: New Vegas, Fallout: NV, and FO:NV. sometimes i have time for blackjack, roulette, and slots. (i’ve given up on caravan – either i totally misunderstood the 5 times i read the rules, or it’s broken. i’m tired of seeing red cards.)

i’m on my second char, now (energy/explosives NCR loyalist), which is a good thing because i missed most of the achievements by playing the bulk of the first char with Steam Cloud off (i’ll only lose 4 hours of gameplay once, thank you, then i learn) . it’s funny to get the “discover 125 locations” achievement, but miss the one for 50 locations…

the only other thing on the horizon is Battlefield 3. i might get a bit more of Bad Company 2 in after this char, maybe… but the current crop of online tactical FPSs are pretty sorry. (Call of Duty? don’t make me laugh. CoD needs to put on big boy clothes and implement squads, but those may be too complex for the typical CoD player.)

  3. I’ve been playing alot of new vegas, uncharted 2, GoW III, and some metal gear solid 4 (that game never gets old I swear!) oh and I’m playing the mgs:rising waiting game

  4. FALLOUT: NEW VEGAS with Hardcore Mode off. I prefer the more comfortable style of FALLOUT 3.

    CIVILIZATION V
    STARCRAFT 2

  5. FALLOUT: NEW VEGAS with the latest patch which has tons of wonderful radio music finally properly playing. YAHOO for atmosphere!

RISE OF NATIONS and THRONES AND PATRIOTS expansion.
DOOM 3 and RESSURRECTION OF EVIL expansion. Sheesh still scary after all these years.
MIGHT AND MAGIC 6 to 10 PLATINUM EDITION
DAGGERFALL free version Bethesda so generously gave away to the fans. Smooth as skaters on ice with DosBox. It even comes with install instructions for Dosbox! :D

  6. No news of any forthcoming TES game? It has been almost 5 years since Oblivion. No news at all, if you release anything related to TES i hope it will be mindblowing at least…

or rather: I DEMAND it to be mindblowing!
