Finally! I’ve been waiting for this announcement ever since I finished playing Oblivion..
At the 0:05 second, I knew the unveiling of Elder Scrolls 5 was imminent when Todd Howards face appeared back on here a couple of weeks ago and then all the Elder Scrolls IV Mods started getting recognized. And plus when I saw the monks, the first thing that popped in my head was elder scrolls.

When I heard “Todd Howard” I went into a fanboy frenzy.
The announcement of Elder Scrolls V was a joyous enough moment to make me forget the agonizing disappointment I felt watching that utterly melodramatic and overserious trailer for the new SSX game…

I havnt been this excited since Fallout:New Vegas was anounced inFact since morrowind was anounced all those years ago. Todmeister’s the man! I Hope they do a super cool Collectors edition. with some awesome stuff much like the Septim with the special edition of oblivion.

Finally! Thanks. And Skyrim – that’s perfect. I’m myself from northern area and viking lands so I’ve always liked (and played) a Skyrim char, so this is spot on. Hope it’ll be bigger then Oblivion was, large and mysterious land is the best. So, thanks again Bethesda.
I got a chill when, in the trailer, the narrator says, “after the time when Oblivion opens.” I thought it may have been a ES announcement before, but that line made me sure!
I can’t wait for this game. If there is a collector’s edition, I will definitely pre-order the game.
I was watching the VGA awards like man this sucks like usual. Then they announced Mass effect 3 and i was jumping for joy ANNND then they announced Skyrim…my head asploded. 2011 cant come fast enough.
I hope we won’t wait 11.2011 to get that powerful music

I am thrilled to know that you guys are making another elderscrolls game. sense Ive played Morrowind for the Xbox, I fell in love with the game. I just want to ask for something, please please please make the game at least 2 player, even if it has to be over xbox live, or a system link. That would be the coolest thing ever. Me and my girlfriend have been talking about how cool that would be if we could play oblivion together. I know that game is still in development, but I am psyched about this. please…. 2players.
TES is a single player series and I think it’s safe to say it will remain so. They have always focused on a killer single player scenario without having the distraction of having to make something for multiplayer as well. Bethesda has time and time again emphasized the fact that this is a single player experience and the fans have supported them in this. So don’t count on it there are plenty of morps and mmorpgs out there. TES does not need multiplayer IMO.
You guys have been hiding this game since forever so that it won’t overshadow your other games. hahaha I knew it.
A lot of expectations from you guys. Oblivion is BIG. This one should be bigger.

The second i saw the trailer i knew! My hands are still shaking, my blood pumping, and i feel very hyperactive even after i watched the trailer like a hundred times!!!!!!! Can’t wait to explore those creepy dungeons full of monsters where everybody has to hide their treasure!!

If I were there durinng the announcement, I would have gone ballistic over the whole environment, perfomed something like stagejump with Todd Hovard in my hands.
Well, actually one of my friends had told me to expect some great announcement a few days before SpikeTV awards took place. And the thing is that We’d already known rumors about Mass Effect 3 and Resistance 3, but this one was not only the greatest one, it also was totally unexpected! Even for me, though I was forewarned. So I was patient for a few days not to force my friend to spoil the effect and it was definetly the right decision!
Game Informer that comes out in january will have a good pack of information about TES V! I can’t wait to see it!

I’d rather cut out all the information about the game from now on…
Does anyone here doubt about subject’s quality? I don’t. And the thing is that it sucks to know everything about the game before you can play it and feel everything by yourself. Developers spoil too much about their games these days, And it’s damn difficult to resist the temptation to know every bit of information about the game before you can lay your hands on it.
Does anyone know what the likely system specs are? I know I’ll need a new computer, but I want to get the right one in advance. Like what kind of video card(s), processor speed, RAM, etc. If they’ve already developed the engine I wish they’d at least publish possible specs.
