News Roundup: RAGE iOS update, IGN features, and New Vegas news

We’re back with another news round up.

As noted last week, there’s a new iOS update for RAGE and RAGE HD up on iTunes. To learn more about the update, watch the trailer above. Even with the update, both RAGE and RAGE HD are still priced at $.99 and $1.99, respectively.

In other news, IGN has put up  a feature on their most anticipated games for 2011. RAGE is the only game to crack the top ten for PC (#3), 360 (#5), and PS3 (#9), while The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim hit the Xbox 360 list at #4 and ranked as the #1 game on PC.

Speaking of Skyrim, while you wait for the February issue of Game Informer to hit shelves, IGN PC makes predictions on what to expect in the game.

And while many are looking ahead to 2011, there’s still plenty of sites discussing their favorite games of 2010. Fallout: New Vegas has received plenty of recognition at the sites below:

  • Gamasutra ranks New Vegas as their #7 favorite game of the year
  • PlayStation Lifestyle has named Fallout: New Vegas their top RPG of the year.
  • 1Up readers can vote for Fallout: New Vegas in three categories: Game of the Year, Best Role-playing Game, and Best PC game.

Wrapping up this roundup, the latest podcast from Xbox LIVE’s Major Nelson includes an interview with senior producer Jason Bergman — who visits the show to discuss Dead Money. Available now on Xbox LIVE, you can also read reviews for Dead Money at Xbox 360 Achievements, Gamer Limit, and Eurogamer.

That’s all for now. Happy Holidays!

  1. 2011 is going to be nuts for video games. so many anticipated sequels, like the big 3’s: Mass Effect 3, Killzone 3, Uncharted 3, Diablo 3, Gears of War 3, Max Payne 3, F.E.A.R. 3, Deus Ex 3, possibly Bioshock 3.

toss on a bunch of other sequels (TES 5, Little Big Planet 2, Portal 2, Dead Space 2, yet another Zelda) to a slowly recovering economy and you’re heading in to a very profitable year.
