  1. Very fashionable and full of FAN LOVE LOVE LOVE….

As for SKYRIM pre-order bonuses PLEASE! PLEASE! Do one with…TELETUBBIES.

  2. People who preorder anything in this day and age are contributing to the problem. If companies already have your money there is less incentive to create a quality product. If people wait for real game reviews before deciding if the game is worth spending their money on it, companies are going to be more likely to support their games. Bethesda is notorious for releasing buggy games. Seriously. Wise up and make them earn your dough.

  3. @apathy: That seems bogus to me. Why would I ruin my credibility for any future games by making a game that sucks, just because I know people will by this game? If I buy a game that sucks, I don’t buy from that developer anymore. My goal as a game developer would always be to make a quality game.

  4. I get the reality of pre-order bonuses, but it’s doing a huge diservice to the fans. Who pre-orders before release? Fans of the game/company. By putting these bonuses in you limit their options. It is explained better here. Worst trend of 2010

If you must do pre order bonuses, put it out as a cheap DLC pack a week later or something. Either the pack is worth having, in which case you are locking fans out of content they want, or it’s not worth paying for, in which case it’s pointless as it’s not going to make anyone buy who wasn’t going to anyway. It’s not like these games are going to flop if you don’t include these packs.

No Pre-order stuff in Skyrim or Rage please.
