  1. thank you for the update ^^ do you know if its possible for you guys to post the update log on steam? I like to know what is being updated when steam downloads an update for my games.

  2. I was excited and I then remember console is always the last thing to get fixed and normally never fixed properly either.

  3. @Brian

They do post the log on Steam. Just click on “details” and scroll down, you’ll find it on the recent news section under the Achievements.

  4. im very dissapointed in the fact you dont have a team deathmatch or battle mode of any kind very dissapointing i supported all of you on this game i will no longer thanks 4 all the hype 4 nothing

  5. Thanks! Keep going! Here’s a start: Why is there always no chat options between rounds? I think there should be a dedicated chat window on the bottom of the screen between rounds so people can say “gg” or whatever.

  6. The competitive PC community would like to sincerely extend its thanks to you for half-assing yet another game, then, subsequently following it up with 2 essentially worthless patches which address virtually nothing of import. Again, thank you.

Sincerely, what’s left of the competitive PC FPS community.

  7. So has anyone even considered to look into the 30 FPS Cap issue? I’m not exactly happy about having to run a dedicated server JUST to play the single-player campaign above 30 frames per second like I would with any other multi-player PC game. I even sent an email out to contact support about this out of sheer desperation for an answer. I knew it was a waste of time since no one obviously answered, let alone “within 48 hours”.

This kind of defeats the purpose of having a PC version if it can’t genuinely PLAY like one. Just my opinion though. I hope this is still in the works.

  8. While the patch fixes some issues that needed fixing, it is also a bit underwhelming.

There are other annoying things in the game that needs to be looked into and fixed.
One example is the text corruption that happens. I think everyone has problems with this, if not then at least it is a very common issue.

Also the lack of end game chat which is already mentioned here… There really needs to be something like this on the map change screen below the other stuff.

How about removing the bars on PC and show us the proper ping in MS instead?
A green bar means nothing to me when said bar is shown in the range of 0-100ms ping (guesstimate)

Tons of more issues, these are posted on fan forums etc so no need to repeat everything.

  9. >What about that bug where text displays artefacts instead of characters?
    yeah, interested in that too.

Also, it’d be great if the game incorporated killcam of some sort. I mean, character customization is great but you rarely get close enough to your enemies to to see it in full glory.

  10. Cool. Still refuse to play it until you add gamepad support. But hey at least you have my $50 so what does it matter…

  11. @Bethesda/Splash
Any statement or update by ATI, NVidia or you guys, when we receive the new drivers?
Because, I’ve heared you work with them together on a solution on the gfx performance-problems…

  12. hmm, well, it’s mostly good. visual performance seems more stable (haven’t tested AO yet).

    - i still dropped sound in Refuel. it wasn’t the eerie environment-only sounds of before, but just a pop and cut-out to silence after a few minutes in the level. many people playing also said the same thing happened within a minute or so of mine dying. i’ve had dead sound like this before, but on a different map.

    - text still glitches.

    - it crashed twice. well, once i received the video driver crash warning, and once it quietly died around a server connect (i was afk).

    - ghosts! rather, invisible allies that take buffs and invisible enemies that kill me.

    - how big was this update? did

  13. Sound still drops. Text issues still present. OpenGL crash still happening.

I like the server filter update.
Game seems to run and look better too.
Ambient Occlussion still drops me from 135fps to sub 60fps

  14. Good morning, one more thing can ya allow “mousewheel up, mousewhell down” so i can jump and melee attack correctly!!!

  15. Hello Mr.BRiNK can ya allow us to bind “MOUSEWHEEL up and MWHEEl down” so we can jump and melee attack correctly. thx.

  16. This is great I’m sure, but can we have some kind of explanation for us poor souls here in the UK as to why we cannot find and buy Brink on the UK Steam Store?

I missed out on pre-ordering, Brink disappeared with no explanation, and I’ve had nothing but trouble trying to get a download from other sites like Game’s download store and Direct2Drive due to their being completely inadequate in comparison to Steam’s ease of use.

That’s to say nothing of the ridiculously inflated prices in physical stores here. Not that I personally even want a physical copy, as the whole thing registers through Steam anyway and the retail box is just another bit of plastic I’d rather avoid having.

Just why can’t we buy a game built on the Steamworks backend, that registers through Steam, from Steam itself? If it is some exclusivity deal with a retailer just be honest about it. Right now there are a lot of irate people getting no explanation as to what is going on, and that is damaging your reputation.

Looking forward to some actual information on this.

  17. yer the fix is great. writing is maybe a bit to big now, but i will suck it up for this awesome game, no sound drop is great !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  18. ow and al those people whining that the game is crashing check ur rig before u blame the game, never had a crash my self, and i have tried to press every button and did face book while the game is up and all, it still just keeps on going, this is one of my first pc games in a while (went over to the console side for a while then got a new rig :) ) and its been a pleasure its al basicly be easy to work and fun to play, !!!

  21. I’m sorry but you guys really should have released a public beta … I pre-ordered this game over Christmas. I thought it was a good investment providing you with extra revenue whilst the game was in the development stages. However, I think that you’re bad release and the fact that the game is not even at gamma testing standards, even though you decided to release it a week early, will taint the reputation of both splash damage and Bethesda. The latest Steam update did not provide any visible fixes in my opinion. the sound still drops out on some maps, the server lags an extreme amount when people disconnect, you seemed to have issues with the sale and distribution through Steam in several EU countries and you havent released a dedicated linux server. To be honest I am very disappointed, please fix ALL outstanding issues ASAP or this will have been a complete waste of money and in a few months no one will be playing it.
