Lonesome Road coming September 20th; Courier’s Stash and Gun Runners’ Arsenal one week later (Updated)

The Courier’s journey ends this September.

We’re excited to share that Lonesome Road, the fourth add-on pack for Fallout: New Vegas, will be available for download on Xbox LIVE, PlayStation Network and Steam on September 20th.

In Lonesome Road you are contacted by the original Courier Six, a man by the name of Ulysses who refused to deliver the Platinum Chip at the start of Fallout: New Vegas. Ulysses promises the answer as to why he didn’t take the job, but only if you make one last journey into the hurricane-swept canyons of the Divide, a landscape torn apart by earthquakes and violent storms. It’s up to you whether you take the job or not.

But wait! There’s more!!

Today we’re also announcing two additional DLC packs, Courier’s Stash and Gun Runners’ Arsenal, which will be available for download one week later on September 27th.

Courier’s Stash (Xbox LIVE for 160 Microsoft points, PlayStation Network and Steam for $1.99) gives players immediate access to four content bundles previously available only through pre-ordering Fallout: New Vegas. The Caravan Pack, Classic Pack, Mercenary Pack and Tribal Pack each offer unique weapons, apparel and aid advantages that will help you throughout your journey.

Gun Runners’ Arsenal (Xbox LIVE for 320 Microsoft points, PlayStation Network and Steam for $3.99) increases the range of unique weapons, weapon mods, ammo types and recipes waiting to be uncovered in the vast Mojave Wasteland.

Among the unqiue weapons added are the Bozar, an all-powerful 5.56mm Light Machine Gun, the Smitty Special, an overwhelming variant of the Plasma Caster, the MFC Cluster mine, the Esther, a unique Mini Nuke Launcher, and the ridiculous Nuka Breaker – a new melee weapon made from a Nuka-Cola neon sign. In total Gun Runners’ Arsenal adds 27 new weapons, 40 new weapon modifications for existing weapons, 18 new new recipes, and 29 new ammo types — including the 12 Ga. Dragon’s Breath, Hive Missiles, and 25mm/40mm Plasma Grenades. Finally, Gun Runners’ Arsenal also adds more than 20 all-new challenges to the Mojave Wasteland.

  1. And what about next Fallout game? Will it ever be?
And For the god sake – will we see adapted versions of F3 and FNV for Macintosh from the publisher itself? Restarting and booting in Windows everytime to run the game just pisses me off.

I haven’t played in 1st and 2nd Fallouts – the second one was made for Macs and it requires old OS 9 which i can run on current Intel core i7 Mac only by emulator. Haven’t yet tried.

There’re some missing spots in all Fallout series which is the good place for next versions of Fallout – the life right before nuclear war with China – it will be interesting to see all this cities live with unique machines/espionage hysteria and military preparations (play as the spy or as the savior to stop the chain of events of the nuke or as the psycho ruining the cities) also what happened in other parts of the world after the nuke – we see action only on the some parts of USA but not even a bit about Europe, former Ussr (Russia) and etc.

      • If you play PC there are all the mods you can ever dream for!
        spongebobimagination.jpg

and if you open command console, click on the enemy and type kill, you can watch you enemy roll down a Beautiful Mountain… aaaahhhhh

    • That’s because other locations are never meant to be in the Fallout universe. There’s a reason that none of the Fallout titles take place outside Americana.
Prewar has been suggested and shot down many times. Check out some of the discussions on the Vault wiki.

    • As far as playing Fallout 2 on a Mac, it’ll work only with Leopard and earlier versions of OSX, as Lion has completely removed software emulation with earlier, non-intel software. unless of course, you’re using Sheepsaver or some third party app, but as far as I know that emulator wasn’t meant for games.

As far as porting Fallout NV on the Mac, there’s no reason for Zenimax to do so. If using boot camp bugs you so much you should look into a program called Parallels which lets you run both os’s without having to reboot, but I dunno how well it’ll perform. In the end though, its not really anyone elses problem but your own that you got a Mac.

    • That’s why mac’s suck, minimal software support! You can thank SJ for that one :D HA HA

As for the rest, I agree, seeing a post war China, Russia, even Europe would be a site to see for a great next adventure.

      • Just my 2 cents, but Mac’s don’t suck, they just have a more stylised use. I’d rather a Mac to a PC for almost all of the Adobe products and any form of photo/video manipulation. I would have a PC for gaming sure though.

And rather than a new area, bring back one of the old ones in the new engine. I’d love to run about California in a 3D environment.

    • I’d personally like to see the Commonwealth and New York City combined.

Also, we know that Europe survived and (presumably) was hit almost as hard as most of America, as Moriarty stated in Fallout 3 that he had traveled to America by boat from Ireland.

  2. looks like ill be waiting to get LR then. cuz i wanna bring those weapons in and i know if i dl it i wont be able to stop myself from playing, lol

  3. Even if this is really going to be the last DLC storywise, I’m going to keep my fingers crossed for some more weapons packs. I’m not gonna lie, I usually get the DLCs not for the story, but because of the new toys and the new creatures to test them on >:)

  4. As much as I enjoy these new plans, I think I speak for many people when I ask for this one…actually really simple request. PLEASE release some kind of retro-pack DLC that would add all the armors/guns from Fallout 3 to New Vegas. Let’s face it, a vast majority of people playing New Vegas also FO3, AND the DLCs. But we can’t import any of the old FO3 items through mods because of copyright infringement. You want to keep the modding community alive? Add all of those items and let the modders unleash all sorts of new things into the Mojave!

Seriously, I would pay as much as I did for 1 DLC just to have Ashur’s power armor back in my hands.

  5. BOZAR!!!!!!!1!1!! Bethesda, Obsidian, I am totally getting the Gun Runner’s DLC just for that. I mean, seriously. You had me at Bozar. I know there have been Bozar mods released for the PC versions of Fallout 3 and New Vegas, but being stuck with the 360 version, it’s nice to see a classic overkill weapon making an official appearance for the consoles. Thanks!

  6. Any chance you guys can put some actual work into the courrier’s stash items and make them work with your actual f****** game?

I mean small stuff like making the 10mm a holdout, add the shotgun to your shotgun perks list, ditto for the ‘nade launcher.

  7. this is a huge mistake , first they piss off all of their fans by delaying the content, and then they decide to release it on the same day as GEARS OF WAR 3. i doubt this wiil evn make 1/2 a million sales on the first week. im not missing out on one of the best games of the decade just to play some pissy dlc that will probably have more bugs than the game altogether. its a shame because i was really exited for this dlc, but there is no way i am going to buy this instead of GOW 3.

  8. I’m having a problem at gun runners. I’ve downloaded all the updates but whenever I go to the store outside of the gun runners gate, when I try to leave the store, it freezes and I have to reboot my PS3. This is happening to me also on the XBox 360. Can anyone help?

    • Sounds like a save game corruption error — but I don’t get how you’re saying it’s happening to you on BOTH consoles. That doesn’t make ANY sense.

Start a new game or use another file and go to Gun Runners and see if that helps. If it doesn’t try it with another disc.

  9. I have really enjoyed NV!! For me, I replayed it at least 5 times. Without the DLC. So many choices, so much to discover!!! I reinstalled it a while back, together with the current DLC. I hope that there will come a NV edition with all DLC!

BTW…yes, you should play it on PC. I played it with a lot of mods, wich also make it more changeling to me.

  10. I kinda feel sorry for y’all I have fallout 3 and NV working at the same time plus dlcs from both games and all the weapons I need 4000+ it’s great what you can do with a game some mods If anyone wants to know how just goto The NV nexus and search up Requim for the Capital Wasteland so you can play both in one awesome package :)

  11. I loved OWB. I think you’re killing the golden goose by making this your last ‘set’ of DLCs. You could make us all happy and give the consoles the G.E.C.K. Then we could make our own and stop bitching. Many games since excite bike have allowed user generated content on the consoles, and with much success. I’d pay full price of a game to get my hands on a G.E.C.K. For PS3. I can always go the homebrew route, but Sony gets angry if you use their product for something other than it’s ‘intended’ use.

  12. I just finished Lonesome Road! It was incredible, and the new weapons and armor are amazing! I’m kind of sad though, knowing that I’ve finally confronted Ulysses, I waited a year for this DLC, and since I saw that card with his face on it, I wanted to meet him since. Can’t wait till Gun Runners Stash.

  13. I remember in the olden days of Fallout 1 where you had to defeat the most challenging and frightening Deathclaws to get the full arsenal of the Gun Runners, whose fortress was surrounded by a moat of nuclear waste that could melt you in two seconds flat. Now you talk to a robot behind a window, and can’t hear a thing of the gung-ho badasses the Gun Runners are.
