RAGE around the world tomorrow!

While RAGE doesn’t hit Europe until tomorrow, if you’re in or around London, you’ll see that the game is everywhere — on the streets, in the tube, on the front of magazines, and on your TV. Thankfully, I haven’t heard any reports of mutants running around the city.

Similar to what we did with RAGE taxis in the US, if you see a bus promoting RAGE, be one of the first 10 to send us a pic (bethblog@bethsoft.com) and we’ll send some swag your way!

As you wait to play the game, check out a history lesson on id from Gamespot UK

  1. You could have at least fixed the PC version before selling it to a bunch of unknowing Europeans. At least put a warning on the box. “This item is for display purposes only.”

  2. Best ID software Game was… Quake 2 for me.
I’ve played q2 all the time, singleplayer starting with my 166Mhz Pentium with 1Mb video ram on my S3 Trio I’ve played maybe q2 for 5 years or even more years playing q2 multiplayer using Voodoo, a 366Mhz Pentium 2 and finishing playing it using Athlon XP and GeForce 5900XT still the game was having the best GAMEPLAY ever.

Still I enjoy Doom3 and Quake3 and 4 as well but Quake2 was “the game”.

Since I’ve become a big fan of RPGs like Fallout and Elder Scrolls in the recent years I can say that Rage is Awesome the only thing is that Rage is unplayable on a PC. The whoe ID5 engine looks like made for consoles on my core 2 duo with GTX260 this textures poping is driving me crazy. I’ve lost an hour of playing around to make the textures not “unloadable” but stay in the video ram in order to make the game at least playable so .. its fine now .. I’ve already spend 5+ hours on it and it is bloddy awesome. From a gameplay perspective it reminds me of q4 and q2.
