  1. The “team at Bethesda Game Studios” deserve no honour.
Mr. Soule is an amazing composer and here you are seemingly trying to take credit for what he has created. He’s a far more tallented artist than any one of your team. Put it this way: If you were to write software half as well as he writes musical score you’d probably have a playable version of Skyrim with a semi useful user interface. You couldn’t even do that.
Also, last time I checked, his name was Jeremy Soule.

P.S. still no mention of SkyUI on your blog… ho hum.

    • Mardoxx:

Um…and your post has exactly *what* to do with Jeremy’s piece being selected, precisely? You tied your little rant onto an unrelated strawman that has absolutely no logical argumentative connection to the subject at hand (i.e., the music being honored).

(And for what it’s worth, I’m sure the millions of people who are still playing Skyrim right at this very moment *completely* agree with you about the user interface… ::rollseyes::)

  2. Congratulations Bethesda on this prestigious honor. Wonder if Daggerfall is next considering how many people use its music in their Morrowind and Oblivion music folders.

Cheers Bards of classical music :D

  3. hellbishop = gstaff!
you removed my protest! months of lost game with endless bugs! only an idiot for posting protest here, then you can only be paid to cover the space!
    damn you, Bethesda!

    • Ha ha :D If only i was so gloriously blessed to have gstaff’s hard working ethics and dedication. Sorry Julio we aint one in the same. Todd Howard might be Batman though :D

Ugh Charlie Brown why am i always confused for..someone else?

Would be something if all the music of the Elderscrolls was remade into modern day versions and sold as the ultimate Elderscrolls album. Just imagine the creepy dungeon music of Daggerfall redone by Jeremy Soule.

  4. That’s great.. now please, please release the soundtrack (as well as Morrowind’s and Oblivion’s) to iTunes.

I’m aware it’s available as a physical box set on DirectSong, but:
    * Having to deal with international shipping, given our postal service, is a frustrating and expensive gamble
    * Considering I -and many others- prefer my music in digital format, having to burn, box and ship CDs is environmentally irresponsible and wasteful
    * Since I -and again many others- already use iTunes, I wouldn’t need to deal with another retailer.

Please, this is the way music is distributed today!

    • I think Morrowind have a much better OST. And is the best RPG made by this company by far. I give up of Skyrim, in my last attempt with clean install, after complete the quests in the Winterhold college, I started to be attacked in every city, I can hardly go back to my home in Whiterun.
This game was not finished, is a total mess. I do not know how to continue using this product, maybe with multiplayer support? there are more fight and explosions, more shooter situations (arrows, fireballs, killcameras all the time). the minimum RPG elements are just cosmetics, you do not need sleep, eat, drink and really see a the character status, thinking about improve your char. The adventure factor is poor, with same linear situations, easy puzzles, no secrets, open a locked door is just visual, someone really need “perks” for lockpicking?
I do not have more words to describe my frustration, my sadness in see TES today. From Morrwind to Skyrim, the conception of openworld action/rpg became a offline mmo/shooter, with a massive amount of problems. TES became the Dwemer empire, giant empty ruins of a old empire.
      Stop worship Daedra!!

        • Master lockpicking a chest and find a sword of steel? walking 800 seconds to find the same repetitive way of challenge in all dungeons? for people playing the eye of magnus, try look around the dungeon, to see a giant pipe with invisible polygon conected to a door, without no reason. Maybe in the next time, this company try build something small, but with more content, reason to enter inside a cave or ruin, not this mess of towers and lack of enemys.. and please! put the “moveto player” as a option visible all the time! is useless the sidekick inside the dungeons, he always get stuck!
Anyway, less poetry here, i give up of skyrim too.

  5. I at least will say a big THANK YOU for sharing this video!

One of the reason I love these games is the music, and Skrim is no exception. The icy, barbaric feel to the whole region of Skyrim is really enhanced by the music! Bravo!

Can’t wait for more from you! Thank you!

    • The Morrowind theme was really good, but for Skyrim’s theme Soule took that repetitive and fairly basic melody and turned into something with a sense of progression, imo. Far better in Skyrim than it was in Morrowind.

  6. Congrats to Jeremy Soule and Bethesda Game Studios! Classic FM really is a prestigious radio station to have Skyrim’s music featured on. It’s one of the most listened to radio stations in the UK, right up there with BBC Radio 1 and 2.

  7. O meu skyrim esta com muito bug, eu parei de jogar porque toda vez que entro em alguma superfície com água ,o Jogo simplesmente trava. Existe alguma solução para corrigir esse defeito?
