Put the duct tape away and grab your flashlight!
On the heels of DOOM 3 BFG Edition’s release, we heard feedback from fans: you still wanted a chance to purchase the game’s original 2004 release. Beginning this week, the original version of DOOM 3 and its expansion, Resurrection of Evil, are available at a lower price.
Discounted packs include:
- Doom 3 Pack: Discounted at $12.99
- Doom 3: Discounted at $9.99
- Resurrection of Evil: Discounted at $4.99
For players with the BFG Edition of the game, you’ll be happy to know that we’ll be releasing the GPL source code in the near future. Stay tuned for updates.

I still wish to know, does Doom 3 (BFG) have an updated sound system or will I still need Hardware EAX 4 in order to enable reverb effects?
2004? we actually had decent looking games back then? :-p
I might able to try this: http://www.gamefront.com/files/3843977/Hello_Kitty_Flashlight out, which is based on: http://ducttape.glenmurphy.com/
I believe old Doom 3 mods won’t work with BFG edition.
Hi to all!
Due to development of Steam Linux Client and it’s current beta testing does it planing to make available the linux versions of Doom 3 (+ Doom3: Resurection Evil) and Quake 4 via Steam? This games was initially linux-ported.
… and also what about availability of “Mac OS X” ports of this games via Steam ?
