Update: Dawnguard is now available on the North American and Europe PlayStation Stores. Download here.

Vampire Lord or Vampire Hunter? North American PlayStation 3 players will make the ultimate choice, Dawnguard is now available on PSN. And like our PS3 releases for Dragonborn and Hearthfire, the content will be 50% off ($9.99) for the first week of release.

Other important PlayStation Store updates to note this week:

  • Also arriving today, French versions of Dragonborn, Hearthfire, and Dawnguard will be released for Canada, as well as Spanish versions in Latin American markets.
  • Tomorrow afternoon, the French, Italian, German, and Spanish markets will get the three remaining add-ons in their respective languages, as well as English.

  1. Yay! I’ve been looking forward to Dawnguard since it was announced last year, I can’t wait to finally be able to roam Skyrim as a Vampire Lord. I hope the performance issues have been ironed out though, I wouldn’t want any lag to ruin the fun. :)

  2. GStaff : I have already bought Heartfire and Dragonborn from the Playstation Store the day they where available. I’m playing the French version of Skyrim (now French/English with the add-ons installed !).

Will I have to pay again if I want the French version of the three DLC or will they be marked as “downloadable” ?

    Thanks!

  3. Dawnguard is a better choice then vampires and the new werewolf perk tree really makes being a werewolf even better, plus the dawnguard can use crossbows and that and dragonbone weapons is what makes dawnguard awesome.

Not right! You may also just cleaning Fort Dawnguard before being a vampire, and there is nothing for just one side.Vampires can use Dawnguard armor, crossbows and forging arrows, and Dawnguards can be in Soul Cairn, and do all what vampires do.But not being vampire lord.

  4. its probably not going to be on the store for awhile :P Hearthfire came out at 10:00pm for me, hopefully dawnguard dosent take as long :D

  5. A big thanks to Bethesda for finally getting this stuff ported over to PS3. I’ve picked up all three, and I’m loving what I’ve played so far (still downloading Dawnguard).

  6. Fun – this should be a nice little outing for my mage. Next up is 1.09 – once those Kill Cams are fixed to stop jumping the gun, I can play a melee character without risk of cam-death…

  7. well personally I like to make an d-bag of a char when im the lord of vamps…mainly cus I control everythin…but I do prefer those hunters because they got firepower…
course I love crossbows…also…im happy for you guys…glad to see people actually stating their side in the conflict rather than 20 vamps to 1 hunter…

  8. ok i just hot dawnguard for ps3 and now i cant get anymore dragon souls like it sounds like its starting to burn but nothing happens this really sucks anyone know what i could do to fix this problem

  9. Thanks for catching us up with the DLCs. Now we (as in everyone- Xbox, PC, Ps3) just need some more patches to fix any bugs all around. Hopefully they will come out more often.

Don’t forget us now that your hands are finally clean.

PC don’t need patches-fans made their own unofficial patches.Sadly that PS3 don’t have creation kit…

    • @PUCCKUu_4EL:
“PC don’t need patches-fans made their own unofficial patches.”

I assume you’re referring to the USKP, UDGP, UHFP and UDBP.
As far as I know, Arthmoor’s only fixing things left unfixed, and removing things from the Unofficial Patches once Beth fixes them.

    • Aye, the freezing issues are tied to the patch, not the DLC, and it’s only in very specific places. It’s much, MUCH better than 1.07. Quite playable again, just… be careful for certain quests, like Waking Nightmare.

        • I am suffering with a bit of freezing, but they are not occurring in the Dawnguard questline. Still, its very much playable and I am enjoying it a lot! Cheers mate

          • Yes, after installing the DLCs I had quite a few problems with “3-beep” freezing, skydiving mammoths, jerky frame rates and bad lip-sync, which I’d not seen before. Deleting the game data and the update, then reinstalling, (auto)updating, and finally re-installing the three DLCs seems to have fixed all these problems :)

I think it would avoid a lot of problems and unhappy gamers if all updates could force an automatic reinstall – or at least show a warning recommending a manual re-install. That way, things like the “water freeze” saga would never have happened, and a lot of the criticism that sometimes gets levelled at updates and the DLC would go away. Just a suggestion…

Anyhow, thanks again for three fantastic DLCs, and the upcoming 1.9 update which looks like it’ll fix many minor niggles.

  11. Beth,it (release of all DLCs),don’t mean end to Skyrim,I hope?Planning some other DLC in future? Will be good made some last,a big one…Because that 3 is begin to be bore after first one week.Even Dragonborn…

      • The wording could have used some work, but I understood fine. Let me try to tidy this up a bit:
“Beth, I hope the release of these three DLC packs won’t mean an end to Skyrim. Are you planning more DLC for it in the future? It’d be great if you make some last longer. Maybe a big one, because the three that have been released are beginning to bore after the first week.
        Even Dragonborn.”

I think they have more planned. I’d love something huge as well, but let’s step back and think about something:
Not everybody will be able to download and walk away. Something huge like the Shivering Isles would more or less need a retail pack (in addition to Steam download) to reach the most people possible.

  12. My game will freeze sometimes

But yeah i beat it and wanted to know if anyone found the vampire hood??? im a vamp. but cant find it anywhere please let me know.

Thanks, but it not have a big matter-english-not my main language.

  14. Hm…Why when vampire lord is active,he nude when he just now transformed? And why blood magic can be use only after double press L3 -_-?First transformation, when Harkon teaching you norm, but after-nude ass and empty hands…

  15. I bought the 3 DLCs for PS3, but still can’t sort my containers like the 360 version. I do need it, since my item collection is huge. What have I done wrong?

  16. SO AGAIN I ASK IS THERE A WAY TO GET THE VAMPIRE HOOD WHILE ON THE VAMPIRE SIDE????

CUS I KEEP READING THAT ITS ONLY OBTAINABLE WHILE ON THE DAWNGUARD SIDE WHICH IS VERY DUMB AND MAKES NO SENSE, PLEASE TELL ME IF THATS TRUE. THANKS.

  17. Yes bro, sadly it is the truth. But my tip for you is to equip the shrouded cowl, obtained in Dark Brotherhood quests (or in the dawnstar sanctuary once you bought the bedroom). It is black and it looks cool with all vampire armor, including the royal one. It is also good to use with Auriel’s Bow cause it boosts archery by 20 points. Hope it helps xD

  18. So Bethesda makes us wait something like 9 months to get these DLC for PS3 and then they make us DL them in 1 WEEK to get the discount??? Are you friggin’ kidding me? I was out of town and its tough luck for me? Screw you Bethesda and PSN. Keep your sorry a$$ DLC. I’ll play something else.

  19. Hey. It’s me again. Still don’t have the DLC for Turkey.. Thanks for everything. I’m not a problem anymore. I play Skyrim and dlc’s play crack version. They have torrent sites. Goodbye.
