In all seriousness, we’re very excited about our newest expansion — led by our longtime friend and colleague, Simon Alty. 2014 will be a busy year with The Elder Scrolls Online, The Evil Within, and Wolfenstein: The New Order all releasing.

BETHESDA SOFTWORKS OPENS AUSTRALIA OFFICE
Expands Operations in Asia Pacific
October 2, 2013 (Rockville, MD) – Bethesda Softworks®, a ZeniMax® Media company, today announced it has established a new publishing office in Sydney, Australia. ZeniMax Australia Pty Ltd will directly oversee sales, marketing, and distribution for all Bethesda titles in Australia and New Zealand.The establishment of ZeniMax Australia underscores the importance of the growing Australian market as well as the company’s continuing commitment to the Asia Pacific region. ZeniMax also has operations in Hong Kong and Tokyo.

With the opening of the new office in Australia comes the appointment of Simon Alty as Managing Director for the new territory. Alty was most recently Managing Director of One to Another Pty Ltd where he and his team played a pivotal role in many successful Bethesda launches including The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim®.

  1. Prey 2 isn’t on that list. I understand you’re really embarrassed by you’re petty behaviour and clumsy mishandling of a great game, but not addressing it in any fashion speaks volumes about how you go about business.

    Do you think TEW, WNO, ESO will preform like AAA titles?

  2. Firstly, no Australian actually drinks Fosters, secondly Cassowaries provide excellent fuel economy (as well as anti-spider defensive measures) and finally, welcome to the Land Down Under :3

    Is ESVI currently in the works?

      • Well, if we don’t hear anything until 2018 then I’ll assume they *are* beginning work on it right now (because we all know how long it takes to make an ES game …)!
