Wolfenstein marks the first Bethesda-published game to arrive on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and will also be available on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. Developed by MachineGames, a studio comprised of a seasoned group of developers recognized for their work creating story-driven games, Wolfenstein: The New Order is a reimagining of the FPS franchise from id Software. The game offers a deep game narrative packed with action, adventure and first-person combat rendered in stunning detail with id® Software’s id Tech® 5 engine. And typical of a classic Wolfenstein game, expect plenty of hidden secrets, too.
Wolfenstein: The New Order once again centers around the series’ iconic war hero, B.J. Blazkowicz and this time faces alternate version of the 1960s in which the Nazis won World War II. As the only man capable of rewriting history, with the help of a small group of resistance fighters, infiltrate their most heavily guarded facilities, battle high-tech Nazi legions, and take control of super-weapons that have conquered the earth – and beyond. See the game in action on our official YouTube channel.

Dear Pete Hines/Bethesda..
I’m so ashamed of my previous behavior and attitude..regarding more information and the release date for WolfenStein: New Order..please accept my apology
By the way I’m also a freelance sci-fi,horror story writer and I currently working on a prequel story to WolfenStein: The New Order. The prequel story takes place right after Raven Software’s Wolfenstein game ended. Please contact me if you guys are interested in getting any details about the prequel story.
“An insert will be included inside your boxed copy of Wolfenstein: The New Order.”
lol
boxied copies only?
Each digital retailer will have different ways of delivering the codes. We suggest contacting your preferred retailer for more information.
Inglorious Basterds: The Movie.
I don’t buy boxes. I have over 75 games on Steam and just bought the Elder Scrolls Online Imperial edition within hours of it’s release.
I don’t buy boxes, capiche?.
You won’t have to.
When won’t I have to?
As mentioned above, each digital retailer will have different ways of delivering the codes. We suggest contacting your preferred retailer for more information.
I will not buy from random retail places.
I will buy from Steam and Bethesda, what is the problem here?
You guys are screwing this up. Wander on over to Zenimax Online and ask em’ how to do it.
We’ll let folks know when the game is available on Steam. Stay tuned.
In fact there is no way. The site is broken enough that no links work in Firefox.
Not that I will buy from any of the 4 retailers.
You can pre-order a steam copy on Amazon currently in some regions. They’re a pretty big retailer

That’s actually a pre-order for a steam code through Amazon. It does not yet state that it includes beta access though so you would want to ask Amazon before buying it that way if you wanted to ensure you received it.
It’s going to take longer to get it on Steam because steam has checklists that need to be completed and a review process before item pages go up and can be made availible for pre-order. In addition to that, the normal means by which pre-order bonuses are associated pre-order purchases is not ready made for distributing something like a unique-per-user key granting access to an item that doesn’t yet have its own appid in their database.
No. If these fools can’t put a package together without me having to go through a third party I will not buy the stupid game.
Steam is too tricky? Oh please, what a crock.
tt will be coming to Steam for pre-order. We’ll update when that option is available.
Stay tuned and have a nice weekend.
I’m curious if this will be the only way to get into the Doom beta.
From our FAQ:
“WILL THERE BE AN OPEN BETA FOR DOOM?
Timing and availability of future beta programs for DOOM is to be determined. The only current way to ensure access is through pre-ordering Wolfenstein: The New Order. We will be providing more information on additional beta tests, if any, at a later time.”
Oh, oops. Thanks, gstaff. I didn’t think to look there.
Kudos to Bethesda Softworks and MachineGames for coming up with an excellent fresh approach to this series and for keeping id software in the mix. You guys have a lot of class. Thank you
Glad to hear you’re excited. We can’t wait for folks to get their hand on with Wolf in May 🙂
Oh nice! I am pretty much bored already from constant Battlefield 4 andCOD4 so I can’t wait to try out something new! Thanks a lot for this post, it is an amazing thing to find out. I am very excited by this new release. Can’t wait to start gaming!
Will there be a collector’s edition?
