you have to remember that most (if not all)PC gamers that gave success to the fallout franchise already have Fallout 3 as well as New Vegas and maybe even the classic fallout games. Now, I’d agree if the pre-order package had something bigger, but it’s just Fallout 3.

Nope, as the PS4 does not support backwards compatibility, and won’t for the foreseeable future. At least that’s the answer Sony gave. It’s the system that is providing the backwards compatibility, not the game. Fallout 3 that comes with Fallout 4, is the same game you can go out and buy at Gamestop.
Sony is focused on PS Now, and because of that, they don’t want to go for backwards compatibility. As much as I would love it, and I don’t care at all for PS Now, backwards compatibility on the PS4 is near impossible. Emulating the PowerPC-based architecture games (360) to x86 is A LOT easier (it’s hard) than emulating the PS3’s architecture, Cell, to x86.
Microsoft had trouble with trying to do it for easily over a year. Something that is far more alien to x86 like Cell, is going to be near impossible, or just not worth the cost. The cost was the reason they stopped producing the backwards compatible PS3s.

It does not include the game’s DLCs. Those are available separately.
So, no reason to pre-order then, most of us already own fallout 3, and with BC coming, we can just buy the dlc then, rather than pre-order the game to get what we already have.
Does the free copy of FO3 come with the Xbox One FO4 Pip Boy Edition, as well?
Do I get a code for preordering at GameStop or is this only for the xbox one digital version? BTW thank you for mod support on xbone!! I’m not sure what sort of voodoo magic this is but I’m not complaining, although being I own both consoles I’d love to see this feature come to all platforms.

Quick Q on the XBoxOne Preoder: I have looked and can’t quite tell…is the xbox one preorder a physical or download? I just don’t want to deal with a physical item if I can help it. But if I do have to, I would rather order it to a store so I can just pick it up and not deal with whether UPS/Fedex is up to their usual crap.

Confused. Will it be in preorder. Cause i sold my 360 and games. Witch sucks now that thwu alow backwards compatability. So i cant download until they make it work on xbox one.
I have both PS4 and X1 and every cross platform title I have plays better on X1 so I will be getting this on X1. I had forgotten how nice XBL ran until I picked up a used copy of Destiny to compare the 2 consoles. Destiny looks the same on both consoles but it runs much better on the X1, PSN is garbage and not worth the 50$ a year I pay them. XBL is the superior network and I don’t see PSN getting better anytime soon. Most of the games that the X1 can’t run in 1080p don’t run on the PS4 in 1080p either.
