We’re coming out of a busy convention weekend featuring PAX Prime, DragonCon, and FanExpo, and that means lots of creative and wonderful cosplay.
Taking the lead in all cosplays would have to be the incredible Skyrim work done by Sedulous Studios for DragonCon. They created a full size Alduin to complement the rest of the their Skyrim troupe (See video blog above).
Artistry also takes over and invades our offices! Nia Watkins was kind enough to send Harvey and co at Arkane a handmade Outsider. He now sits proudly in the lobby welcoming all that enter Arkane Lyon.
See all the new artwork, stitches, suits of armor, and more in our gallery below. See yours next time by sending email@example.com an email or by using #BethesdArt when you post on your channels.
Time to give your Xbox or PlayStation dashboard a taste of the terror that awaits this October.
On both Xbox 360 and Xbox One, your avatar can get in the spirit of Halloween and dress up as one of the The Evil Within’s iconic characters — options include “The Keeper” (complete with his terrifying hammer), main protagonist Sebastian Castellanos, Ruvik, or the Beacon Hill nurse, Tatiana.
In addition to characters there’s an array of weapons, traps, and shirts you can purchase on the Avatar Store. Show off your excitement for The Evil Within and to get into the Halloween spirit! Note: If you’re on Xbox One, you can still update your avatar if you purchase avatar content through Xbox.com.
Following last week’s reveal of Dishonored’s “The Dunwall Archives” art book, this week we’re featuring another fine art book from Dark Horse, “The Art of the Evil Within”. Sure to excite any fan of Shinji Mikami or just horror fans in general, “The Art of the Evil Within” features concept art, developer notes, and designs featured in game.
Packed with 184 pages of incredible and spine-tingling artwork and features, the hardcover book releases this October to accompany the game’s launch.
Steam is giving you an easy way to practice all those stealth techniques. From now until 1pm PDT Sunday, you can take control of Corvo Attano for free. In addition to the complimentary run of the game, Steam is offering Dishonored at a 75% off discounted rate and DLC at 50% off.
Tamriel is growing, as is the amount of adventurers traversing the lands, but that doesn’t mean that recognition shouldn’t be given to the players that have been in The Elder Scrolls Online since the beginning.
We’d like to say that Pete Hines is our fearless leader, but when it comes to survival horror games, it probably apt to call him our fearful leader. And for that reason, we thought he’d be the perfect first guest for Bethesda Twitchworks to play The Evil Within. In the dark.
So how will he do? Tune in at 4pm EDT to Twitch.tv/Bethesda to witness the fate of Detective Castellanos & Mr. Hines as they explore The Evil Within.
Watch until the end to hear a special thanks from BGS!
During the month of July, Australian TV show Good Game ran a poll to vote for the country’s top 100 games of all time, and we are happy to report that Skyrim was selected as the #1 game, and Fallout 3 also cracked the top 10 at #8 on the list.
Watch the video above to get the countdown experience or if reading is more your speed, see the full list here. Big congrats to the team at Bethesda Game Studios and thanks to all the Aussies that voted!
September will introduce Update #4 to The Elder Scrolls Online. Watch the preview video above to find out more about what to expect in the coming weeks including a first look at Upper Craglorn and the Dragonstar Arena.

There’s certainly no “free Willy” in TheWhaleOilKing’s perfectly constructed Lego Whaling Trawler above. From plastic to painting, we show off some of this week’s incredible artwork spanning multiple titles including Fallout New Vegas, Wolfenstein: The New Order, and more Dishonored. Then we have some cosplay coming from DeviantArt and San Diego Comic Con.
Check out the album below to see what talent we’ve found inspiring. We dont’ want to stop now! Send us your work (whatever it may be*) by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, or by social media (#BethesdArt).
*By “whatever it may be” we mean nothing graphic. Keep it SFW.
