Wanted to give you the head’s up that Fallout 3′s price has been slashed in half this week at Direct2Drive.com. Between now and August 9th, you can purchase it for $24.95.
If you haven’t picked up Fallout 3 yet, we wanted to make sure you knew it’s 50% off on Steam during the holiday weekend. As shown above, you can purchase the game for $24.99 today through Sunday.
Just a quick head’s up that Operation: Anchorage is the Xbox LIVE Marketplace “Deal of the Week.” Instead of 800 Microsoft Points, Xbox LIVE Gold Members can purchase the content for 560 points.

In celebration of the arrival of April, the wackiness of April Fool’s Day, and the upcoming 3rd anniversary of the release of Horse Armor (Friday, April 3), we are pleased to announce that for the next week all Oblivion DLC for Xbox 360 is half price, except for Horse Armor, which is twice as much as usual. So if you’ve been waiting for just the right moment to get The Vile Lair, or Knights of the Nine, or Shivering Isles, now is the time.
As always you can get your DLC on Xbox Live or through the marketplace on Xbox.com.
Major Nelson today announced Extended Play Downloads Days for Xbox Live. From now until the end of October, you can save on various downloadable content, including the Oblivion expansion, Shivering Isles. During this period, the expansion will be available for 1600 MS points (marked down from 2400 points).

In the past few weeks, a bunch of guys (Joel, Purkey, Claff, Emil…to name a few) decided to upgrade to new PCs so they can enjoy some of the newest releases (Age of Conan, Crysis, etc.) in all their glory. If you’re interested in ordering a similar rig, Joel sent me the link to the deal these guys took advantage of (dude!).
Here’s this week’s rundown…
Nate Purkeypile: Practicing more TF2 for the Studio Rumble on my fancy new computer, maybe some Crysis also now that I can actually run it.
“Joltok, late of Cimmeria” Burgess: Running around Hyboria, refusing to wear anything that isn’t a circlet, loincloth, or armband, regardless of stats.
Terry Dunn, Jr: Age of Conan, Rockband, WC3: DOTA mod, and MAYBE some D&D 4th Ed. if I’m feeling nerdy enough.
Just noticed that Amazon is once again selling Oblivion for $19.99, so if you know someone that hasn’t had a chance to play the game yet, it might make the perfect stocking stuffer for a friend or family member. And with Shivering Isles now available on PSN ($29.99), this deal would save you $10 if you were considering the Game of the Year edition of the game.
