Previously on Dishonored…

Need a refresher on where things left off with The Knife of Dunwall? Read an early journal from The Brigmore Witches: Thomas’ Journal.

Warning: Knife of Dunwall spoilers below…

Our troubles began with a name. Delilah. A mystery given to Daud by the face he sees in his dreams and whose voice he hears when kneeling at the shrines hidden in the lost parts of the city. None of us have ever heard this voice, but we know its power. It spoke to our master, telling him of his coming doom and saying that solving this riddle was the only way to escape.

We knew nothing of Delilah, except that we found a whaling ship by that name. A tenuous connection, but where the Outsider’s word is concerned there are no coincidences. We discovered the ship was named after a woman who once walked the halls of Dunwall Tower with Jessamine Kaldwin. Later she became a painter – an apprentice of Sokolov himself – until she snared an aristocratic patron named Arnold Timsh.

New Dishonored Content: Daud’s adventure concludes in The Brigmore Witches

Darkness or Redemption? The final path of Daud, the man behind the assassination of Dunwall’s Empress, will be determined in Dishonored’s last add-on, The Brigmore Witches.

In the coming weeks we will share new content from the game — on the blog, as well as our Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr pages for the game. To whet your appetite, here’s a brief description of the content.

In The Brigmore Witches, continue your journey as the legendary assassin, Daud, and bring his twisted narrative that began with The Knife of Dunwall to a close. After discovering the identity and intentions of Delilah, the leader of the Brigmore Witch coven, you set out to disrupt her from completing a powerful ritual that will spell your doom. Having already been betrayed by your lieutenant, Billie Lurk, you must rely on feuding gang factions—the Dead Eels and the Hatters—to negotiate your way through previously unseen districts of Dunwall en route to Delilah’s stronghold. Regardless of the way you reach your destination, one thing is for certain – you will finally answer for your treacherous actions and fall before the mercy, or punishment, of the Royal Bodyguard and Assassin, Corvo Attano. Additionally, your power, weapon and item upgrades, Chaos level, and player actions from The Knife of Dunwall will carry over via a compatible save file option.

As noted, if you completed The Knife of Dunwall, you will be able to carry over your save file to The Brigmore Witches. If you haven’t finished the content yet, you still have plenty of time — The Brigmore Witches arrives on Xbox 360, PS3, and Steam ($9.99 or 800 MS Points) next month on August 13th. PS3 players in Europe will be able to purchase the content a day later on August 14th.

New QuakeCon Details

The return of Peace, Love, and Rockets is nearly here!

Today we’re exactly three weeks from the kickoff of QuakeCon 2013 and excited to share updated details on the 18th running of North America’s largest LAN event. Read on for more on our keynote, presentations, panel, and exhibit hall sponsors.

As has become tradition, the first day of QuakeCon will feature a keynote address from the legendary John Carmack, id Software’s co-founder and technical director.

Along with John’s keynote, this year’s QuakeCon will feature the first public gameplay presentations for The Elder Scrolls Online, Wolfenstein: The New Order and The Evil Within — plus a special panel featuring Dishonored’s Raphael Colantonio, Ricardo Bare and Seth Shain. These events will all take place on the show’s Ventrilo Main Stage. Additionally, attendees will be able to play The Elder Scrolls Online, Wolfenstein, and Dishonored’s final game add-on, The Brigmore Witches, in the QuakeCon exhibit hall.

The Elder Scrolls Online, the next chapter in the award-winning series and the first to bring the legendary experience online, Wolfenstein: The New Order, a reimagining of the popular shooter franchise developed by MachineGames, and Dishonored: Brigmore Witches, the third add-on pack for Arkane Studios’ critically-acclaimed first-person action game, will all be playable at the show.
