It’s officially October, and with that comes Halloween! While we’re still a ways off from the 31st, our first October stream kicks off with some sci-fi horror to build atmosphere and get us in the spirit (no pun intended).
September 30th marked the 20th anniversary of DOOM II’s release date, so this week we will be going taking the DOOM Marine on a journey through Hell on Earth. After that, we’ll head back to Mars for a look at DOOM 3 BFG Edition.
Throughout the stream be on a lookout for our trivia. We’ll be giving away two limited edition numbered prints and an accompanying DOOM marine plush.

Good luck to Robert Brandl, who will be attempting a world record speedrun for DOOM 3 BFG Edition’s The Lost Mission. Robert previously captured a Guinness World Record for his speedrun time in Resident Evil 4.
As you enjoy your Saturday afternoon, here’s some highlights from around the web.
We start with The Elder Scrolls Online. This weekend, be sure to grab the all-new Ebonhart Pact wallpaper on the game’s official website. And if you want to learn more about the Alliance comprised of Nords, Dunmer, and Argonians, be sure to read up on ZeniMax Online’s first ‘Ask Us Anything’, which will focus specifically on this pact.

Relive your favorite moments of DOOM with the newly-released DOOM 3 BFG Edition — available now in North America and this Friday in Europe on Xbox 360, PC, and PlayStation 3!
BFG Edition includes the original versions DOOM and DOOM II, as well as re-mastered versions of DOOM 3 and its Resurrection of Evil add-on pack. And for the first time ever, play eight never-before-seen DOOM 3 levels in ‘The Lost Mission’.
Later today, PS3 players will be able to download the game directly on PSN. And if you already own DOOM 3 on Steam, between now and November 13th you can save $10 on your purchase.
Tomorrow morning, we’ll be off to Seattle to prepare for one of our favorite events of the year, PAX Prime! This year marks our fifth year at the event, and as always, we’ve got some great stuff in store.
Those with passes to the show (the event is already sold out) will want to visit our booth to play both Dishonored and DOOM 3 BFG Edition. While you’re there, make sure to pick up some cool Bethesda swag. Our booth is open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10 AM – 6 PM.
We’re also hosting a Dishonored community event on both Friday and Saturday evening in conjunction with the guys from iam8bit that you won’t want to miss. Both nights we’ll be at the Stimson-Green Mansion — just minutes away from the convention center from 7.30pm-11.30pm. We’ll be serving food and drinks, giving away prizes, and more. You’ll also have your first chance to play Dishonored’s Boyle Party mission, which PC Gamer’s Tom Francis recently declared, “… one of the best missions I’ve played in any game.”
Interested in attending? Look for folks handing out invitations – both at our booth and outside the convention center. You’ll need one to get in. And on both nights, the event is first-come, first-serve.
