Here’s some more stuff for you to check out before E3 next week.

Subscribers of PC Gamer (US) should be on the lookout for the August issue in their mailbox in the next few days. The Fallout 3 cover story spans seven pages and includes hands-on impressions from Fallout fan Dan Stapleton, new screenshots, and more.

In other print coverage, the latest issue of the Polish mag CD-Action has a new hands-on preview of the game.

Moving over to the world wide web, at Game Trailers, there’s a new countdown of their Top Ten Most Anticipated Games of E3 2008. Plenty of great-looking games made the list, and Fallout 3 came in at #2.

Finally, there’s a good read about creating game worlds, appropriately titled, “The Age of the World-Builders.” Within the piece, both Todd and Emil discuss keys to creating an immersive environment. Here’s a sample:

When you play an MMOG, a game like Oblivion or Bethesda’s current big project, Fallout 3, “you’re not controlling that character, you are that character,” Pagliarulo says. “You get a sense of control over the world that you can’t find anywhere else.”

Around the web: E3 anticipation edition

E3′s just around the corner (the fun begins a week from today), and folks around the web are gearing up for next week’s madness.

At Next Generation, there’s a new article up from Joe Keiser listing their 30 most anticipated titles of E3. Head here to read the top ten, which includes Fallout 3 at #1.

In other pre-E3 news, IGN has a few lists of their own. Their PC and 360 editors rank Fallout 3 as their most anticipated game of E3, while the game is also listed as one of the most anticipated games confirmed for E3 by their PS3 staff.

Speaking of IGN, their Australian site has a new interview up with Pete. Here’s a sample of one of their questions:

IGN AU: Surely a post apocalyptic wasteland is a tough thing to make look sexy. Were the visuals a challenge?

Pete Hines: Absolutely. That level of detail when you’re talking about destruction… and you get down to those DC areas where you’ve got bars sticking out of concrete and you’re rendering out everything… or you’ve got Megaton with all those wires… Those little details are hard to render and pull off well. But you know for us the benefit is that this is our second go around on this hardware.

As E3 nears, we’ll keep you updated on new coverage.

Bethesda/Fallout at E3 2008

Yes, Bethesda Softworks will be at this year’s E3 in LA.

Yes, we will have Fallout 3 there.

No, I don’t know why the ESA sent out a list that did not include us, just like they did last year. Maybe it’s because they had to go to print at a certain point and we hadn’t picked our space yet. No idea.

But we’ll be there and so will Fallout 3.

More Coverage Arrives
