Don’t forget that Todd Howard will be on G4′s Xplay E3 Special tonight, starting 7 PM, EST, with more gameplay from Fallout 3.
A short teaser to the Fallout 3 Official Trailer debuted on Gametrailers TV this weekend. We’re all big fans of Gametrailers TV. I prefer to watch it online in full HD glory since Spike doesn’t come in HD for me. Stay tuned, I got more blog posts for you today.
We just put out a press release announcing ‘A Post-Apocalyptic Film Festival Presented by Fallout 3′ that we’ve put together in conjunction with The American Cinematheque and Geek Monthly. The festival is a two-day event taking place at the Aero Theatre in Los Angeles, and will feature the following post-apocalyptic favorites:
Friday, August 22nd (beginning at 7PM Pacific Time)
Saturday, August 23rd (beginning again at 7PM PT)
If you’re in the area and dig the genre, you’ll want to check it out. Tickets will be available on Fandango.com beginning July 25.
If you’re waiting for your chance to see Fallout 3 in action, G4′s got you covered on Monday. Beginning at 7PM (Eastern Time), they’ll be airing a two-hour E3 Preview Show featuring a Fallout 3 demonstration from Todd Howard. For more details on G4′s E3 schedule, head here.

Moving over to the world wide web, at Game Trailers, there’s a new countdown of their Top Ten Most Anticipated Games of E3 2008. Plenty of great-looking games made the list, and Fallout 3 came in at #2.
Finally, there’s a good read about creating game worlds, appropriately titled, “The Age of the World-Builders.” Within the piece, both Todd and Emil discuss keys to creating an immersive environment. Here’s a sample:

Over on the Bethesda Game Studios forums Todd has posted his answers to the second Fallout Fan Interview, answering (a lot of) questions you guys put together. It’s a really lengthy read and does talk about and reveal a few new things.
We also took three new screenshots posted just for you guys in the forums. These can’t currently be found in any other mag or site. Just our way of saying “sorry for taking so damn long,” and thanks for the support.

E3′s just around the corner (the fun begins a week from today), and folks around the web are gearing up for next week’s madness.
At Next Generation, there’s a new article up from Joe Keiser listing their 30 most anticipated titles of E3. Head here to read the top ten, which includes Fallout 3 at #1.
In other pre-E3 news, IGN has a few lists of their own. Their PC and 360 editors rank Fallout 3 as their most anticipated game of E3, while the game is also listed as one of the most anticipated games confirmed for E3 by their PS3 staff.
Speaking of IGN, their Australian site has a new interview up with Pete. Here’s a sample of one of their questions:
IGN AU: Surely a post apocalyptic wasteland is a tough thing to make look sexy. Were the visuals a challenge?
Pete Hines: Absolutely. That level of detail when you’re talking about destruction… and you get down to those DC areas where you’ve got bars sticking out of concrete and you’re rendering out everything… or you’ve got Megaton with all those wires… Those little details are hard to render and pull off well. But you know for us the benefit is that this is our second go around on this hardware.
