E3 Round-up Part 1: Video Walkthroughs

E3 may be over, but videos and previews are still going up, and there’s already a mountain of coverage out there for Fallout: New Vegas, Hunted, RAGE and Brink.

We’ll be sorting through all of it in the next few days, but before we jump on planes, here is just some of the video coverage that has now made its way to the internet for convenient viewing. Feel free to share any other links you’ve spotted in the comments — we’ll add them to the post as we find them.

E3 Week: More answers to your New Vegas questions

screen10juneblogB.jpg

Over at the Bethesda Softworks forums, we’ve put up the rest of the answers to for our Fallout: New Vegas Fan Interview. Once again, Project Director Josh Sawyer has come through answering questions you’re dying to know. Questions like?

Will there be character “traits” as in the classic Fallout games?
From @TheBearPaw via Twitter

JS: Yes. During character creation, you will have the option to select one or two traits. Traits include some of the classics, like Small Frame (in F:NV it gives a bonus to AG but you break limbs more easily), and new ones, like Four Eyes (bonus to PE while wearing glasses, penalty while not).

To check out the rest of the questions that got answered, head on over to the forums.

E3 Week: Watch live demos of RAGE, Fallout and Brink

Rage2010BFG07.jpg

The best E3 events are the ones that can be enjoyed from the comfort of your own television seat. That makes this week pretty fantastic, as all of our games will be getting live-streamed across two separate networks at some point.

G4 streamed their demo of Hunted yesterday, and today they take a live look at Fallout: New Vegas, planned for airtime around 5pm. They’ll be back again on Wednesday for a taste of id’s stunning shooter RAGE at 2:30pm.

GameTrailers TV takes its tour on Thursday, with live demos of RAGE, Fallout: New Vegas and Brink airing consecutively around 3pm.

There’s a lot to keep track of on top of that, but we’ll keep you updated with airtimes via Twitter and Facebook. And if you miss the shows, we’ll post any footage on Bethblog as it becomes available.

Update: Also be on the lookout for video coverage at IGN. On Wednesday, they’ve scheduled times to look at Hunted, New Vegas, and Brink. Tune in again on Thursday for RAGE. Check out the full schedule here.

On Newsstands: RAGE and New Vegas

Quick update on some magazines you might want to check out. From our UK offices, we found out about the two above covers. The current issue of PC Play (Croatia) features a cover story on RAGE. Game Republic in Italy, meanwhile, has a brand new cover story on Fallout: New Vegas.

Stateside, I found some interesting coverage reading some of the latest magazines to hit my desk. Both PlayStation: The Official Magazine and OXM have new previews for RAGE in their July issues.

Finally, the July issue of GamePro has a section called “Snapshot,” which takes a closer look at a given screenshot, and this time around it’s for Fallout: New Vegas. Those that checked out our New Vegas Fan Interview will definitely be interested in seeing this exclusive screenshot featuring a Nightkin.
