Thought I’d share a great tribute video to Fallout 3 I just watched on You Tube. Titled “Fire in Paradise” by DigitalDilettante, the video has some pretty great angles and shots (including the one above from atop the Washington Monument).
Check the video out at YouTube, and be sure to click on the high quality version.
A month ago we shared this tribute video from Fallout fan Jacob Talkington. Recently, Jacob sent me a follow up video. This one’s called Open Wide, and features new music from Jacob.
Got a cool video to share with us…shoot us an email.
For over a year, Thorlak Island Team have been working on a pretty expansive Oblivion project, entitled Thorlak Island: Blood in the Snow. This mod offers a new (snow covered) island to explore, all new NPCs and towns, nine new quests, and more.
This morning I got several emails from members of the team pointing out the trailer for a new Fallout 3 mod — Enclave Commander Mod. Here’s the basic decription for the mod, created by J3X:
“This mod adds a Enclave Radio Transmitter. When you use it it will call forth a Vertibird loaded with 3 friendly Enclave soldiers to your position. You can find the transmitter at the entrance desk in the Museum of History.”
Thought I’d share this video from Fallout fan Jacob Talkington. Entitled “Burning Down – Buffout Remix” the video showcases some pretty spectacular views from the Wasteland. According to Jacob, he did all the video capture, editing and music for the video…nice work.
Caught this video while going through my Google Alerts and thought it was worth sharing. I’ve already watched Lucas Simms get launched about a half dozen times this morning…hilarious!
If you’ve created or found a fun gameplay video you’d like to see up on the blog…shoot us an email.
Whew! After three long days in Seattle, we’ve returned from PAX. With over 58,000 people at the event, we had our hands full — but it was definitely worth it. We had a blast chatting with fans and letting them try out Fallout 3.
One of the highlights of the event was the reaction to the Vault 77 puppets. Above is a video from the Omegathon — where the dancing puppets stole the show…
This week’s mod interview is with Conan Scarface from the BGS forums. He’s actually a man of many names. His Chinese name is Yen-Jen Wang and his Japanese name is Heiji Hatsutoli (he goes by Hatsutoli on TES Nexus and Planet Elder Scrolls). Currently he lives in Tainan, a municipality of Taiwan.
The video above is a trailer for his Tiefling Races mod.
I got an email this week from a dedicated Elder Scrolls’ fan named Kellen DeRuy. It seems the game made such an impact on him, that he just had to make his own musical for the game. Here’s what he wrote:
Just wanted all the people at Bethesda Games to know how amazing they are. My Brother and I made a video about how awesome Elder Scrolls IV is. Well, that and about how addictive it is.
Thank you for the game. The video we made is in complete honor of the game and is of course non-profit, Just wanted you all to see it…Kellen.
Having watched this masterpiece a few times, it seems more like a music video than a musical, but that doesn’t take anything away from it. After emailing it to Todd, his reply said it all: “Best. Video. Ever.”
This fan video is nearly two years old, but since it’s been showing up in my Google and Technorati updates lately, I figured it’s worth sharing. In this video, the often-abused Adoring Fan is victim to some well-placed (and well-timed) bow and arrow fire.
If you’ve got a cool video to share, feel free to email us with suggestions for the blog.
