Meet Michael Lattanzia, one of our best QA testers. Nobody makes games as big as ours and our testers are vital to our success. After we shipped Oblivion, many of our testers could troubleshoot and debug quest issues better than the designers could.

This week’s Inside the Vault is with producer, Jeff Gardiner. If you are a fan of Oblivion’s downloadable content, Jeff is one of the folks you can thank. Besides being the producer for our designers and level designers, Jeff is instrumental in a lot of game system tweaking and prototyping. On Thursday nights (game night here at the studio), you can find Jeff getting his tabletop wargaming on.

Today’s Inside the Vault is about Shannon Bailey, programmer. He works on our internal tools – designers and artists love him because he handles their feature requests. Shannon also volunteered to help get the Star Trek Legacy Mod Tool into a state where we could release it to the public. One more thing – Shannon knows how to belt out a tune in Rock Band.

Today’s Inside the Vault is with Adam Adamowicz, our resident concept artist here at the studio. If you ever visit our offices, his cube is the one you should insist on visiting. When we start a project internally, Adam is one of the first developers to begin work so he always has amazing pieces of art all around his corner of the offices.

Don’t be afraid, kids. It is just Dane Olds, artist, for this week’s Inside the Vault.

Today’s Inside the Vault features programmer Mike Dulany. Mike is best known in the office as the guy who most looks like Will Ferrell. He started here as a QA tester and we tried him out as a programming intern of sorts – he never looked back.

Today’s Inside the Vault is about one of our associate producers, Tim Lamb. His main area of focus is programming. Tim is the pulse of programming and he works hard to keep us on track. He is also known for his prowess at Call of Duty and Halo, in addition to wearing stylish visors every day.

I realized the other day that we hadn’t really talked with any of our level designers so here is Jeff Browne. Jeff did some great work on our Oblivion DLC, including Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles. He is now hard at work, putting together some pretty amazing levels for Fallout 3.

Kevin Kauffman. Laid back. Handsome. Stylish dresser. QA Lead. While Kevin’s title may be QA Lead, he is just as important — if not more — to the success of Fallout 3 than most producers on the team (including me). He works his tail off and we’re fortunate to have him.

Today’s Inside the Vault features Gary Noonan, one of our character artists. He does mostly animation, anything from creatures to weapons. However, he’s been here so long he’s done other work including creating character art, building levels, and cranking out sound effects.
