Normally you expect to find Draugrs lurking in dungeons and tombs of Skyrim. This weekend a pair made their way across the country.
Skyrim fans Bill & Brittany Doran made their annual trip to Atlanta’s Dragoncon dressed as a pair of Draugr Deathlords. Taking advantage of the long weekend. we were fortunate to also see them on the final day of PAX Prime in Seattle. They posed for [many] pics, checked out The Elder Scrolls Online, and were nice enough to talk to everyone about their costumes.
Be sure to check out Bill’s blog, Punished Props, for an extensive look at the countless hours spent creating the Draugrs’ weapons, armor, and body suits. And as a bonus, see the costumes in action in the video below.
Earlier this week we announced that the Bethesda Store will be setting up shop at PAX Prime. Today we’re happy to reveal the full rundown of available items, including new DOOM plushies of the Cacodemon (above) and Pain Elemental.
After the break, you’ll get a full rundown of what’s at the store. Note: Not all items are yet available on the online store.
Later this week we’ll be heading to PAX Prime in Seattle. If you were lucky enough to score exhibit hall tickets (sold out), be sure to stop by our booth (#2014) to go hands on with The Elder Scrolls Online and Wolfenstein: The New Order!
We’ll also be selling merchandise from the official Bethesda Store at the booth. Later this week we’ll share more details on the items that will be available.
Outside of the exhibit hall, The Elder Scrolls Online Food Truck will be making its way to Seattle on Saturday, August 31st. Between 11:30 am and 3:00 pm, head to 802 Pine St. for free food, exclusive swag, and the chance to hang out with other fans of The Elder Scrolls Online!
Tomorrow morning, we’ll be off to Seattle to prepare for one of our favorite events of the year, PAX Prime! This year marks our fifth year at the event, and as always, we’ve got some great stuff in store.
Those with passes to the show (the event is already sold out) will want to visit our booth to play both Dishonored and DOOM 3 BFG Edition. While you’re there, make sure to pick up some cool Bethesda swag. Our booth is open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10 AM – 6 PM.
We’re also hosting a Dishonored community event on both Friday and Saturday evening in conjunction with the guys from iam8bit that you won’t want to miss. Both nights we’ll be at the Stimson-Green Mansion — just minutes away from the convention center from 7.30pm-11.30pm. We’ll be serving food and drinks, giving away prizes, and more. You’ll also have your first chance to play Dishonored’s Boyle Party mission, which PC Gamer’s Tom Francis recently declared, “… one of the best missions I’ve played in any game.”
Interested in attending? Look for folks handing out invitations – both at our booth and outside the convention center. You’ll need one to get in. And on both nights, the event is first-come, first-serve.
Welcome to day 2 of PAX Prime. Our booth is already a madhouse with thousands checking out RAGE, Prey 2, and Skyrim.
Today at 3:30, Todd Howard will treat attendees to a special demo of Skyrim in the Unicorn Theater. You’ll definitely want to line up early, as two lucky attendees will win one of these custom Xbox 360s. We teamed up with Microsoft to create a handful of limited edition consoles for fans. Between now and 11.11.11, we’ll share details on other ways to win. Even if you don’t win the Xbox 360, you’ll still get a plush Dragonborn helmet.
For fans with a dragon-sized appetite, don’t forget to check out our Skyrim food truck from 11:30-3:00 pm on 9th & Pine — just one block from the convention center. We’ll be serving Dragon Legs, Whiterun Corn, and Solitude Sweetrolls — all for free!
