During my trip at PAX, I made a conscious effort to take a picture of anyone I found wearing a Vault Suit — highlighted by the little one shown above. I also stumbled upon a group of Raiders, but unfortunately I wasn’t carrying my camera at the time.

Having spent most of last week on the road, I wasn’t able to spend much time on my laptop — so now I’ve got a bunch news to share.
WET, is just a week away from release, and there’s oodles of coverage to read up on. We’ll begin at Major Nelson’s blog, where the game’s demo had a strong debut on Xbox LIVE — coming in as the #8 most-played game.
At Talking About Games, there’s an interview with WET’s Creative Director, Patrick Fortier. Here’s a quick look:
What sort of research was done to prepare the team to make this game? Was that you guys we saw wall-running between semis on the Los Angeles freeway?
Patrick: There was a long pre-production period to this project. Every element of the game first came to life through concept-art and appropriate research. Obviously old 70’s movies really inspired the graphical look of the game, but we also looked at more old school action games in terms of capturing the spirit of gameplay we were looking for.
PAX is just over a week away! At this year’s show, our lineup will include hourly, live demonstrations of Brink, as well as a chance to go hands-on with our Fall releases — WET and Rogue Warrior. Additionally, we’ll have playable builds of upcoming Xbox Live Arcade titles — Doom II and Quake Arena Arcade. We’ll also have giveaways at the booth, including Brink t-shirts and posters for Rogue Warrior and WET.

If you’re looking to check out Brink, the presentations will start at the top of the hour and begin at 10 am each day. The last demo on Friday begins at 6 pm; on Saturday and Sunday the final demo will be at 5 pm.
Here’s some of the newest Fallout 3 coverage from this week.
Here is a clip of Todd being interviewed by X-Play’s Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb during PAX. That Saturday, they were filming their X-Play segments for about an hour or so at our booth. All I can say is…total pandemonium. Between the guys lining up behind them, and the guys in line to get their Fallout 3 swag, it definitely wasn’t easy getting around.
Last month at PAX, we had plenty of memorable moments at our booth. One of my personal favorites was when a group of three guys in Vault 13 costumes showed up to see the game. We were so blown away by the effort they put into their costumes, we gave them a chance to kick back, drink some Nuka-Cola and play Fallout 3 within our Airstream trailer.

After a week out of the office, here’s a catch up Fallout 3 coverage.
Shacknews’ Nick Breckton made his way to PAX on Friday, where he interviewed Pete and Istvan, and also went hands-on with the game, in which he admits his “rabid anticpation” for the game. Here’s a snippet:
“The thing about the VATS system–the slow motion approximation of Fallout’s tactical limb targeting system–is that, while it at first seems to function more like a bullet time system, it fundamentally works on the same level of Fallout’s original system. There’s that same decision between a sure shot or a low-percentage attempt, and that same glorious anticipation before a 99%, skull-exploding, point-blank blast to the eye.”

Whew! After three long days in Seattle, we’ve returned from PAX. With over 58,000 people at the event, we had our hands full — but it was definitely worth it. We had a blast chatting with fans and letting them try out Fallout 3.
