It’s the final countdown before the weekend, but before we head out, we’ve got some great info from Europe (no, not the band).
Our colleagues over in London office have shared new magazine covers featuring both RAGE and Prey 2. Included in our Flickr slideshow are RAGE cover stories at Official PlayStation Magazine (Benelux) and GameStar (Germany), as well as Prey 2 features at PSM3 (Australia), Game Reactor (Nordic), and PC Games (Germany). All five cover stories are on newsstands now.
In other overseas news, Brink fans in Europe can watch GameFace tomorrow night at 11 PM for an all-new preview on the game. Check your local listings, but I’m told it’ll be airing on Sky Channel 125, BT Vision Channel 46, Freeview Channel 46, and Virgin Media Channel 139.

The panoramic also features plenty of info on weapons, gadgets, and vehicles. And for your viewing pleasure, the panoramic includes plenty of new gameplay clips!
Additionally, we’re excited to provide a free mp3 of Mark Lanegan’s new track, Burning Jacob’s Ladder. The track was used in the Untethered trailer we released last month, and the song will also appear in full release of RAGE.

This weekend we’re off to Boston, where we’ll be feelin’ the good vibrations at PAX East. At our booth, you’ll have a chance to go hands on with both Hunted and Brink — with developers from inXile and Splash Damage on hand to answer your questions. For Hunted, you’ll be able to play the game cooperatively on a level that’s never been shown to the public. Meanwhile, those playing Brink will have an opportunity to play a new level, Security Tower, which sees desperate Resistance fighters attempting to break one of their own out of the Security’s main headquarters on the Ark.
After playing the games, you’ll leave the booth feeling cooler than Matt Damon — as you’ll be Departeding with t-shirts for both games.
On Friday night, we can’t promise you Steven Tyler, but you’ll feel like a rock star if you attend our Brink’d community event (8-11 PM) at the Black Falcon Terminal. Just a Brady-to-Moss toss away from the Boston Convention Center, on hand we’ll have multiple 16-player setups with developers from Splash Damage playing against members of the community. We’ll also be handing out some wicked cool giveaways. Space is limited, so get there early!
And while it’s too early to see home runs over Fenway’s Green Monster, you’ll see huge mutants in our special presentations for RAGE (Friday and Saturday at 1:30 PM in the Wyvern Theatre) being presented by id Software’s Jason Kim and Matt Hooper. Attendees of the event will receive a limited “Wingstick” t-shirt and have a chance ask questions following the presentation.
Welcome to another round of Around the Web… step right up and read the news!
But first, with RAGE’s new trailer unveiled, we thought we share some archived coverage for those of you catching up on the title. Above is a GameTrailers’ interview (featuring gameplay) from QuakeCon last year with creative director Tim Willits. For more of RAGE (and Tim), check out the videos embedded here.
Moving along, one of my favorite stories of the year so far is this one I spotted a week back on Kotaku. It’s about a Fallout fan named Gareth. Unlike most of us, Gareth can’t play games with his hands, but he’s put together a setup that allows him to play games using his chin. Watch a video of him playing New Vegas here… cool, inspiring stuff.
Staying in the Mojave, last month we blogged about an ambitious mod project for New Vegas called Project Nevada. Those interested in checking out the mod can download it now at New Vegas Nexus.

British Academy of Film and Television Arts (that’s BAFTA) has announced their GAME British Academy Video Games Awards’ nominees with New Vegas receiving nominations for Best Strategy Game and Best Story
We’ve released a new trailer for RAGE, the highly anticipated shooter from id Software. The trailer features an original track, Burning Jacob’s Ladder, by singer Mark Lanegan (Screaming Trees, Queens of the Stone Age, Gutter Twins).
