RAGE website gets a makeover
Those that visit our RAGE homepage today will notice we’ve revamped the look and feel of the site. Be sure to bookmark the page, as we’ll be adding some nice features between now and the game’s launch (Sept. 13th in North America, Sept. 16th in Europe). And if you’re one of those hip kids, be sure to follow RAGE on the Facebooks and Tweeters.
We’ll also keep you in the loop here at Bethesda Blog. For now, check out the site, enjoy the screenshots above, and check out developer profiles for John Carmack, Tim Willits, and Matt Hooper.
Skyrim News: Introducing the Creation Engine
We’ve gotten a lot of questions about Skyrim’s graphics engine since the game was announced. As promised, we now have more details on the tech by way of Game Informer’s latest hub feature.
Head over to the Game Informer site and check out “The Technology Behind The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” for all the info.
New screens for RAGE, New Vegas, Hunted and Brink
In the chaotic jumble that was QuakeCon, you may have missed the bundle of brand-new screenshots we released for our upcoming games. We kind of did, too. So here they are, re-posted in one place for consecutive consumption.
Check below for fresh shots of Hunted, Brink, Fallout: New Vegas and RAGE.

Will whips up some mean screens
Recently Jason gave out our third ‘Screenshot of the Month Award’ for Fallout: New Vegas. This month, Associate Producer Will Noble came away with the latest crazy trophy concoction — featuring a cop pointing a gun.
Yes, we know there’s no actual screenshots in this post, but we should have more New Vegas goodness for you soon!
Congrats to Will. And if you haven’t read it before, here’s his Inside the Vault from a few years back.
At the office: Screenshot of the Month Club
You know all those cool screenshots you see in game previews? Believe it or not, they’re not as easy to create as you’d think. It’s like trying to get that perfect snapshot at a football game – you want to make sure you get the wide receiver player Super Mutant catching the winning touchdown pass right as he’s attacking the player, while accounting for blur from player movement (no edit necessary) and not having fans get in the way onscreen blood get in the way.
Around the web: Brink screenshots make their way online
In case you missed our Bethesda Softworks Newsletter last week, we released four screenshots never before seen online for Brink. Check them out in our newsletter archives (where you can also subscribe) and at Brink’s Official Site.
For more news on the game, be on the lookout for the latest issue of Game Informer (issue 203), which recently hit subscribers. The two-page feature includes all-new screenshots and info from the game’s Creative Director, Richard Ham. Additionally, Richard’s full interview will be available to GI subscribers at gameinformer.com.
