If case you’ve been in under a rock… or in a Vault, here’s a refresher on what to anticipate in each adventure in the franchise:

Fallout

You’ve just unearthed the classic post-apocalyptic role-playing game that revitalized the entire CRPG genre. The Fallout SPECIAL system allows drastically different types of characters, meaningful decisions and development that puts you in complete control. Explore the devastated ruins of a golden age civilization. Talk, sneak or fight your way past mutants, gangsters and robotic adversaries. Make the right decisions or you could end up as another fallen hero in the wastelands…

Fallout 2

Fallout 2  is the sequel to the critically acclaimed game that took RPG’ing out of the dungeons and into a dynamic, apocalyptic retro-future. It’s been 80 long years since your ancestors trod across the wastelands. As you search for the Garden of Eden Creation Kit to save your primitive village, your path is strewn with crippling radiation, megalomaniac mutants, and a relentless stream of lies, deceit and treachery. You begin to wonder if anyone really stands to gain anything from this brave new world.

Mastering your character’s skills and traits for survival, Fallout 2 will challenge you to endure in a post-nuclear world whose future withers with every passing moment…

Fallout Tactics

Tactical Squad-Based Combat comes to the Fallout Universe!

You are the wretched refuse. You may be born from dirt, but we will forge you into steel. You will learn to bend; if not you, will you break. In these dark times, the Brotherhood – your Brotherhood – is all that stands between the rekindled flame of civilization and the howling, radiated wasteland.

Your weapons will become more than your tools, they will become your friends. You will use your skills to inspire the lowly and protect the weak… whether they like it or not. Your squadmates will be more dear to you than your kin and for those that survive there will be honor, respect and the spoils of war.

Discuss your favorite memories and moments from the series in our official forums here.

Review Roundup: The Brigmore Witches

Early reviews are in for The Brigmore Witches! They include:

Eurogamer (9/10) — “The Brigmore Witches emerges as one of the finest examples of how to not only expand a blockbuster video game, but also of how to enrich and deepen one.”

EDGE Online — “Like the best expansions, The Brigmore Witches offers more of the game you know while hinting at a game you don’t: a game with different powers in a different part of Dishonored’s world. Corvo’s story seemed rather tidily concluded by the end of Dishonored, but Daud’s shorter tale shows there’s plenty more to be done in the Empire Of Isles.”

Kotaku — “It’s a fine story, with a few wrinkles, and it features the Corvo vs. Daud showdown that you’ve seen before if you’ve played Dishonored.”

GameTrailers (8.9) — “If you know who Daud is, and what he’s capable of, you’ll certainly want to see his story through.”

The Controller Online (10/10) — “Not only does it do a great job of concluding Daud’s story but, when taken as a whole, it competes closely with that of the main campaign.”

Rock, Paper, Shotgun — “In conclusion, then: you should get this. After Knife Of Dunwall. I’ve enjoyed them both enough to the point where I can honestly say that they are more entertaining slices of Dunwall than much of the original game.”

The Koalition (95%) — ” I cannot recommend you purchase this DLC any more adamantly, as it is simply fantastic.”

The Gamers Hub (4.5/5) — “Given that this is the final DLC for Dishonored, it’s a great send-off and one worthy of your cash if you’re fan of the city of Dunwall.”

FPSGuru (9/10) — “Arkane Studios manages to always deliver an enticing experience leaving you wanting more, you won’t stop until your finished.”

GameFront (85%) — When you take The Knife of Dunwall and The Brigmore Witches together, you get $20 of content that winds up being an extensive expansion of Dishonored at a pretty good value. What’s more, the story of the overall whole of Dishonored becomes a lot deeper and more interesting for the additions. Dishonored is better for its DLC, but the story works both ways.

BeefJack (Recommended) — “Another triumph for Arkane.”

Pixel Related (9/10) — “The Brigmore Witches is the final piece of DLC for Dishonored and it’s a fitting send off for the game.”

Digital Chumps (8.4/10) — “he idea of single player downloadable content offering a meaningful narrative and a familiar yet engaging mechanics sounds like an idea allambitious games should exhibit, but for whatever reason it rarely happens. The Brigmore Witches is another exception to the unfortunate rule.”

Strategy Informer (8.5/10) — “Combined with The Knife of DunwallThe Brigmore Witches and the story of Daud is exactly what Dishonored’s DLC needed to be – a fun side-story with an interesting character that adds to the main story but doesn’t take anything away.”

GameRanx — “But what’s more important about this tale is the context it provides.”

Attack of the Fanboy (The Verdict: Loved) — “by the end, it’s every bit as good as the original game. ”

We Got This Covered (4/5) — “Dishonored fans won’t want to miss out on what is a fitting, thoroughly interesting and well-priced conclusion to Daud’s storyline.”

Meristation (8.5/10)

We’ll update this post as new review scores make their way online. You can purchase the content on Xbox LIVE and Steam, and it will be live on PlayStation Store later today.

Dishonored’s final add-on available today! (Updated)

Updated: The Brigmore Witches is now available on all three platforms — Xbox LIVE, PlayStation Network, and Steam.

We’re pleased to announce that Dishonored: The Brigmore Witches, the final add-on pack for Arkane Studios’ critically-acclaimed first-person action game, is now available worldwide via Xbox LIVE (800 Microsoft Points). The content will be available worldwide on Steam and the North America PlayStation Store later today and on the European PlayStation Store tomorrow.

In The Brigmore Witches, you continue your journey as the legendary assassin, Daud, and bring his twisted narrative that began with The Knife of Dunwall to a close. After discovering the identity and intentions of Delilah, the leader of the Brigmore Witch coven, you set out to disrupt her from completing a powerful ritual that will spell your doom. Having already been betrayed by your lieutenant, Billie Lurk, you must rely on feuding gang factions—the Dead Eels and the Hatters—to negotiate your way through previously unseen districts of Dunwall en route to Delilah’s stronghold.  Regardless of the way you reach your destination, one thing is for certain – you will finally answer for your treacherous actions and fall before the mercy, or punishment, of the Royal Bodyguard and Assassin, Corvo Attano. Additionally, your power, weapon and item upgrades, Chaos level, and player actions from The Knife of Dunwall will carry over via a compatible save file option.

Steam Trading Cards added to Skyrim

If you don’t already own Skyrim, Steam’s Summer Sale offers major savings on the original release, DLC, and Legendary Edition. And whether you already have the game or are just getting started, the game now supports Steam’s newly-added trading cards.

Started a few months back by Valve, you can now unlock Skyrim-specific trading cards — simply by playing the game. But like collecting baseball cards, it’s not easy to grab every card, and you’ll need to trade with your Steam friends to finish the set. Aside from the Dragonborn pride you’ll feel by finishing the set, collecting sets allows you to  unlock Skyrim-specific badges, emoticons, background images, and more.
