PC System Requirements for Dishonored

With less than two months until Dishonored’s release, we want players to prepare their weapons of revenge. No, I’m not talking about our website, I’m talking about the rig PC players intend to play the game on.

Below you’ll find both the recommended and minimum system requirements for the game.

Minimum Spec:

OS: Windows Vista / Windows 7
Processor: 3.0 GHz dual core or better
Memory: 3 GB system RAM
Hard Disk Space: 9 GB
Video Card: DirectX 9 compatible with 512 MB video RAM or better (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 / ATI Radeon HD 5850)
Sound: Windows compatible sound card

Enhanced for:
64-bit
multi-core

Recommended Spec:

Processor: 2.4 GHz quad core or better
Memory: 4 GB system RAM
Hard Disk Space: 9 GB
Video Card: DirectX 9 compatible with 768 MB video RAM or better (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 / ATI Radeon HD 5850)
Sound: Windows compatible sound card

Skyrim system requirements announced (updated)

Skyrim’s launch is less than three weeks away!! To help you prepare for the game’s release, here’s the recommended and minimum PC requirements.

Recommended Specs

  • Windows 7/Vista/XP PC (32 or 64 bit)
  • Processor: Quad-core Intel or AMD CPU
  • 4GB System RAM
  • 6GB free HDD space
  • DirectX 9.0c compatible NVIDIA or AMD ATI video card with 1GB of RAM (Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 or higher (i.e GTX550Ti); ATI Radeon 4890 or higher).
  • DirectX compatible sound card
  • Internet access for Steam activation

Updated: We’ve seen plenty of comments relating to the game only requiring six gigs of HDD space. Don’t worry… there’s still a ton of game in there. The total HDD space relates more to the compression opitmizations we’re able to do with The Creation Engine. Not only are do we think you’ll be impressed with how the game looks, but also how much faster it runs..

 

RAGE system requirements

With under a month until launch, we’ve revealed the minimum and recommended system requirements for RAGE.

Minimum:

    • OS: Win XP SP3, Vista, Win 7
    • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo or Equivalent AMD
    • Memory: 2GB
    • Hard Disk Space: 25GB
    • Video Card: GeForce 8800, Radeon HD 4200

Recommended:

    • OS: Win XP SP3, Vista, Win 7
    • Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad or Equivalent AMD
    • Memory: 4GB
    • Hard Disk Space: 25GB
    • Video Card: GeForce 9800 GTX, ATI Radeon HD 5550
 As noted previously, RAGE will use Steamworks and features Steam Achievements, VOIP, and Friends support.

Steamworks feature set and system requirements for Brink revealed

Over the past few months, we’ve seen a surge of requests from the community asking about Brink’s PC system requirements. Today we’ve got those details PLUS information on how the game uses Steamworks. Lets start with the latter…

With the inclusion of Steamworks, players will have the following features…

  • VOIP (in addition to the already existing in-game chat)
  • Leaderboards
  • VAC (Valve Anti Cheat)
  • Dedicated Servers
  • Friends Support
  • Steam Cloud (for save data)

New Vegas News: It’s done! Plus PC reqs, and cake

As you may have heard in this week’s episode of The Bethesda Podcast, Fallout: New Vegas is officially finished and off to manufacturing. Congratulations to the team!

In other news, look at that cake. It was presented to New Vegas designer Robert Lee on his birthday, which happened to coincide with the official end of development.

“Complete surprise birthday present from my wife,” says Lee. “I had no clue she was planning this.”

The cake was designed by Christopher Garrens, whose Costa Mesa bakery “Let Them Eat Cake” is regularly featured on WEtv’s Amazing Wedding Cakes. Click here and here for a few more angles.

With the announcement that Fallout 3 has officially gone gold, we’ve put up the minimum and recommended requirements to play the game on PC.

  • 2.4 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor
