Last week we polled members of The Elder Council on what race/player type they’d like to see next. In a runaway vote, the majority of folks wanted to see a Dunmer thief, and above is the awesome screen the team put together.
Argonian fans… fear not. Your day will soon come!
Skyrim is the home of the Nords, and as such, all of our key art key art and gameplay demos have shown your character as one. As cool as he looks, we realize when November rolls around, many of you will be playing as a different race (or several different races). With that in mind, we wanted to give you guys a chance to see what another character race looks like.
To accomplish this, today we’re putting up a couple polls on our Facebook page for The Elder Scrolls: The Elder Council. Voting will go through 9 am est tomorrow morning, and later in the week, we’ll be sharing a character screenshot with you guys.

As it’s been about a month since we announced our Skyrim fan interview, we wanted to give a quick status update. Todd and other members of BGS are working through the selected questions, and we expect to share answers soon after E3. For your patience, today we’re releasing a new wallpaper (above) and two new screenshots on The Elder Council.
In the meantime, you can expect to see and hear plenty on the game at next week’s big show. For starters, Todd Howard will be showing the game at the following:
- GameTrailers.com – In the hour following Microsoft’s Monday press conference
- IGN Live Show – Wednesday at 5:00 pm PST
- G4TV – Tuesday at 1 pm PST on their E3 2011 LIVE Show
Since we’ll be busy at our booth next week, keep an eye out for additional updates across Twitter and Facebook… should be fun!
Today on The Elder Council, we provided a link to an all-new Dragonborn wallpaper. In addition to the wallpaper, we included a link to a mysterious countdown timer — mysterious only to those that immediately started doing a dragon dance around their house. Those of you that were able to keep your wits noticed the countdown is leading up to the “first, in-game look at The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim!!”
So in less than 19 hours (10 AM EST), the world will see Skyrim in action. How will you prepare for tomorrow’s trailer? We suggest the following: 1) Join The Elder Council, 2) Gaze upon your new wallpaper, and 3) join the folks doing the dragon dance… and maybe let them know what the countdown is all about.
With tonight’s announcement of Skyrim, we’re excited to announce the Elder Council, the home of The Elder Scrolls on Facebook.
Be sure to “Like” the page. In the near future, we’ll be sharing some pretty cool stuff.
