The new cinematic trailer for Brink, our upcoming first-person shooter for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Games for Windows, is now available.
In case you missed our Bethesda Softworks Newsletter last week, we released four screenshots never before seen online for Brink. Check them out in our newsletter archives (where you can also subscribe) and at Brink’s Official Site.
For more news on the game, be on the lookout for the latest issue of Game Informer (issue 203), which recently hit subscribers. The two-page feature includes all-new screenshots and info from the game’s Creative Director, Richard Ham. Additionally, Richard’s full interview will be available to GI subscribers at gameinformer.com.
With last week’s Eurogamer Expo in the rearview mirror, new previews are emerging on several sites. Be sure to check out impressions at Brutal Gamer, PS3center.net, SavyGamer, Scrambled Pixel and Loot-Ninja. Sarcastic Gamer also previewed the game — here’s a snippet:

Before Mothership Zeta launches on Monday, we’ve uploaded a new trailer. Check it out on our site or through our Bethesda Softworks YouTube Channel. Special thanks to Matt Killmon for all his awesome work on all our DLC trailers.
We’ve also got a new Team Diary from Fallout 3 Lead Artist Istvan Pely, who spearheaded Mothershp Zeta. In the diary, Ist discusses what went into making this “far out” DLC — detailing the hard work and countless hours put in by members of the team. Here’s an excerpt:
“And with that begins the Vault Dweller’s final and most fantastical adventure in the Capital Wasteland, or rather several hundred miles far above it. The concept of the UFO visit emerged early in the idea-toss sessions we had for DLC, in fact it was the very first thing to pop into my mind; it just seemed a natural fit. But we saved it for last, as a fitting conclusion to the Vault Dweller’s story.”

Updated: Polish site Polygamia.pl has a Mothership Zeta interview with Brian Chapin. It’s in both Polish and English. For consistency’s sake, I’ll post the snippet in English…
We know that the main quest in this add-on will be to escape from the spaceship. How many side-quests and achievements can we expect from it?
BC: There aren’t any explicit side quests, but Mothership Zeta is a pretty big place. While you’ll be receiving three of the four achievements from completing the main quest line, you’ll have to do some searching off the beaten path to get the last achievement. And it’s worth exploring just to see everything that the aliens are up to — they’ve been doing some pretty strange things.
For those keeping track, we’re less than two days away from Mothership Zeta!

Brink is being developed by Splash Damage and will release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC in Spring 2010. We’ll keep you posted on news/interviews/etc. for the game here on Bethesda Blog. Look for a lot more info on this game next week when E3 swings into action.

MI6, an annual conference for videogame marketing, held their awards show last night. With Pete on hand, Fallout 3 captured 13 awards — including nine Gold & Silver Awards in the following categories:
- Outstanding Promotional Trailer: Fallout 3 Teaser Trailer
- Best Limited Edition or Collector’s Promotion: Fallout 3 Collector’s Edition
- Standout Print Campaign: Fallout 3 DC Metro Takeover
- Best Online Advertising Campaign: Fallout 3 Online Advertising Campaign
- Sharpest Pen Award — Best Copywriting/Print: Fallout 3 Vault Dweller’s Survival Guide
- Sharpest Eye Award — Best Directing: Fallout 3 “E3 Trailer”
- Best Use of Music: Fallout 3 “E3 Trailer”
- Outstanding Overall Marketing Campaign: Fallout 3
- Outstanding Promotional Trailer: Fallout 3 “E3 Trailer”

Moving on to other news, nominees for the ELAN Awards have been announced with Fallout 3 receiving nods in the following categories: Videogame of the Year, Best Console Game, Best PC Game, Best Sound in a Videogame Production, Best Art Direction, Best Game Design, and Outstanding Technical Direction.
At PSDTUTS, both Fallout 3 and Oblivion were included in a list of the Top 40 Video Game Covers of All Time.
Finally, Canadian site Game Focus has a new interview with Pete that went up today. Here’s a snippet:
What mistakes and triumphs did Bethesda learned from Oblivion that helped you with Fallout 3?
A lot of it was learning about the big, open-ended experience. What kinds of things did people like or not like? How do we do that better, and different, in the Fallout universe. Technically we learned a lot about how to make the game run better on all these platforms, but much of it comes from the player experience and what they can do, and see, from moment to moment. I’m sure we’ll learn a lot from Fallout 3 we can put into our next project.
