What we’re playing…

street_fighter_4_benchmark_01.jpg

It looks like it’s time for me to dust off my Street Fighter IV tournament stick. Looking through the list of games being played, it appears I’m missing out on Super Street Fighter IV. Sounds like it’s time for a trip to Best Buy.

While I go shopping, let us know the game’s you’re planning on playing this weekend.

What we’re playing

monster-hunter-tri-image.jpg

I’ve always heard how massively popular Monster Hunter is in Japan, and with Capcom’s release of Monster Hunter Tri on Wii this week, it appears it’s catching quickly in the US. Between this, Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid: Other M, it’s going to be a great summer for playing Wii games.

Have you joined the Monster Hunter craze? Let us know. If not, you can still let us know the games you’re obsessing over.

Michael Musick: Dusted off the Wii to play Monster Hunter Tri and Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. Also playing Sword of Fargoal and Across Age on the iPad.

Alex Utting: Monster Hunter Tri. Monster Hunter Tri. And Monster Hunter Tri.

Michael Lattanzia: Monster Hunter Tri, Monster Hunter Tri, and more Monster Hunter Tri. Oh, and did I mention Monster Hunter Tri? Maybe some Lord of the Rings Online as well.

Aaron Mitschelen: LotRO, Sakura Wars, MAAAAAAAYBE Monster Hunter Tri, if it’ll get that guy in the next row of cubes to pipe down about it!

Peter Sokal: Monster Hunter Tri and Chaos Rising.

puddy[1].jpg

Like a number of other folks, I’ve been anxiously awaiting the release of God of War 3. After a week on the road, I made sure to pick up a copy before coming home tonight. But as anxious as I am to play it, I’m also glued to the opening round of the NCAA Tourament. As I write this up, a number of devs are painting their faces red like Kratos in preparation for Maryland’s opening game. Good luck to them, and everyone else with their alma mater in the dance.

Let us know what you’re playing, who you’re rooting for, and if you’re a face painter too.

Dan Ross: Finishing up Darksiders and checking out Prototype while I wait for GoW3 and FF13.

Rick Vicens: Tropico 3 and Uncharted 2.

Matt Grandstaff: Madden 10, Borderlands, and God of War III.
