What we’re playing: No Football Weekend

Like millions of others, many of us here are caught up in the excitement of the NFL Playoffs. Sure the Redskins are long gone, and some of us are sad to see Brett Favre’s run fall short (just look how sad he is), but that won’t stop us from having a good time watching the Patriots put up their 18-0 mark against Eli “The Other” Manning and the rest of the Giants. But, all that excitement has to wait…for another week. So with no football, we’ve got a whole weekend to play games before the Super Bowl parties next week.

Here’s what we’ll be playing…

Dan Geske, QA: Maybe some WoW if I get the time, or College Football 2008 (I can’t believe there’s only one more football game left in the whole season! What do I do now??)

Erin Losi, Marketing: Portal, Call of Duty 4, Chocolate Chip Meltdown

Todd Howard, Executive Producer: Fallout 3!

Ryan Salvatore, Art Intern: Fallout 1, Team Fortress 2, Advance Wars: Dual Strike.

Jonathan Bilodeau, Graphics Programmer: Assassin’s Creed

Pete Hines: WoW, Company of Heroes, The Witcher, Peggle

Jon Paul Duvall, Designer: Bioshock, Worms, Rock Band, and geeky boardgames.

Angela Browder, Associate Producer: LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga, Tomb Raider: Anniversary

Craig Lafferty, Producer: Burnout Paradise, Pinball FX, PS3???

Aaron Mitschelen, QA: LotRO, Soul Nomad, Mass Effect, No More Heroes (if I can find a copy…)

Dan Ross, QA: Savage 2, Dawn of War: Dark Crusade

Fred Zeleny, Two-Time Red-Ring Survivor: Now that I’ve got a working 360 again, it’s time for my house to rock out with Rock Band. Between pounding songs on the drums, I’ll be getting my post-apocalyptic combat fix from Advance Wars: Days of Ruin

Gary Noonan, Character Animator: Final Fantasy IX (griiiiiiinding away)

Orin Tresnjak, Vector Detector: The Witcher (at last), Geometry Wars Galaxies (it’s a sickness), PGR4

Ryan Ashford, QA Engineer: The Witcher, Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations, Team Fortress 2 (waiting for new maps/achievements!)

Lindsay Westcott, Marketing: Twilight Princess, Far Cry (Wii), and Peggle whenever I have a chance.

Nate “Hammer of Thor” Purkeypile, Expert Zombie Killer: Mario Galaxy, TF2, lots and lots of guitar.

Ashley Cheng, Producer: Oblivion, Mario Galaxy, Phoenix Wright, Fairway Solitaire

Matt Grandstaff, Community Manager: Uncharted, Ratchet, Fallout, Oblivion, Contra IV (finally, I have a new DS!)

  1. I had given up on football due to San Diego sucking (Flutie fan and they’ve stuck with me) and I was surprised they got as far as they did. RE: Orin, I completely agree, Galaxies hasn’t come out of my DS since I got it. Worse than Phantom Hourglass!

  2. [Todd – It’s official, we now love everybody at Bethesda EXCEPT YOU. Tease.

Left by cliff on January 25th, 2008]

Further proof that the fans always get it backwards and proof in revelation of the God that is Todd. For only a caring God would make sure a gift to his faithful followers is truly perfect by testing it out himself 😀

  3. “For only a caring God would make sure a gift to his faithful followers is truly perfect by testing it out himself”

So are we being tested by god now, or are we living in the final product? I think god should work on a few patches in either case!

  4. Todd the God does not test his children his babes. He only giveth gaming joy and testeth the staff..the staff of Bethesda with thundering voice of divine terror.

His only reward the mana of money while holding up his life as a standard of an excellence..an example of success.

All you have to do is play..along.
