What we’re watching

This week we’re letting you know what we’re watching, since it’s a good time to be watching the tube. Summer is nearly over, Fall TV is coming back, football is on, and well, there’s this show called Hole in the Wall. I watched it last night, and all I can say is…wow.

Let us know what you’re watching on TV these days. Have a great weekend.

Fred Zeleny, Designer/Writer: Arrested Development, 30 Rock, and the Steelers on Sunday.

Erik J. Caponi: I’m watching the stupid “acquiring channels” spinning wheel on my Tivo while I wait for the cable company to come fix it.

Ruben Brown , QA Certification Lead: Remainder of Heroes 2, Righteous Kill, Football on Sunday.

Phil “Crashed Your Castle” Nelson: Torchwood Season 2, Doctor Who (love me some Harkness), catching up on Weeds, and also watching King of Comedy (the DeNiro flick).

Ryan Ashford, QA Engineer: Burn After Reading, Entourage.

Brett Douville, Educator of the Wastes: Lovejoy Season 3, Dexter Season 2, and for the kids, some old school Dr. Who and The Muppet Movie on the big screen at the AFI.

Tihana Tresnjak-Smith, QA Tester: Heroes, Supernatural, Project Runway, Ninja Warrior.

Jon Paul Duvall, designer: BSG season 2.5 (yes, I’m rather late to that party), Daily Show, Colbert Report.

Nathan X McDyer, Professional Naysayer: Films — Burn After Reading, Son of Rambow. Fall TV: Weeds, House, Burn Notice.

Mike Lipari: Bucs game (if I can find a bar that’s showing it), Jeeves and Wooster, the inescapable Thomas the Tank Engine.

Mike Dulany, Programmer: Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 3, Angel Season 5, Planet Earth HD

Gary Noonan, Creature/Weapons Animator: Borrowing Samurai 7 (anime) from a buddy who highly recommended it. Its a few DVDs with multiple episodes so it should keep me busy.

Cory Dornbusch, QA: 3D Studio Max view panels while I Animate and Rig… TV is bad kids. It rots your brain so they are less delicious for the zombie apocalypse.

Brent Krische, QA Tester: Venture Brothers, Middle Man, Project Runway, Top Design, and The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Dan Lee, World Artist: Vic Mackey’s downfall in the final season of The Shield.

Ryan Salvatore, QA: Football (the one with pads), Fallout 3, and the frightened faces of friends on rollercoasters at King’s Dominion amusement park.

Tony “Viva Myself” Greco: I’m gonna give Mad Men a try this weekend on the Netflix. Heard it’s superb.

Matt Killmon, Video Producer: Perfume: The Story of a Murderer (amazing film that went totally overlooked on its release).

Pete Hines: Football, Battlestar Galactica 2.5.

Matt Grandstaff, Community Manager: Football, Entourage, Weeds, Arrested Development, waiting for the final (half) season of Battlestar Galactica.

Jay Woodward: Burn Notice, House, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles; awaiting the return of: Battlestar Galactica, Doctor Who, Lost.

  1. The daily show and Scrubs and Futurama. Anything in that block on comedy central. And Ive been dragging myself to my early classes because ive been staying up too late watching Adult Swim. Home Movies, The Venture Brothers, and I’m digging The Oblongs lately. Weird.

  2. ‘Hole in the wall’ is a rather weak Australian clone of a Japanese game show called ‘Human Tetris’. Do a You Tube search for Human Tetris. Much funnier and wackier then hole in the wall.

  3. Runway models on public television as i sleep 😀

When am awake usually YouTube videos on just about everything from old horror movie trailers to music videos. I can even get all the news channels websites with updated videos before they hit the television airwaves.

Ah its only a matter of time before the internet becomes the new cable.

  4. I too am guilty of liking that hole in the wall show. I’ve only seen the US one though. I watch a lot of prison break, 24, simpsons and family guy. hah.

  5. Dawson’s Creek on The N . . . wait wait, before you judge . . . ahh I got nothing. I <3 me some Katie Holmes . . . pre-TomKat. Top Gear, Gavin and Stacey, rewatching Metalocalypse Season 2. Thank God the new season of Entourage is here! Can’t wait for new Californication and whenever new Flight of the Conchords comes out . . . and the strangely compelling “Italian Spiderman” web series (pun intended). And if you have an hour and a half of our life to burn (almost literally), seek out “The Machine Girl”.
