More news on New Vegas updates (updated!)

We wanted to give you guys a heads-up regarding the latest progress on Fallout: New Vegas updates.

We’ve come up with solutions for the Xbox 360 save issue folks are reporting, along with a number of other issues being reported. We’re currently running final testing and certification on a comprehensive patch for all three platforms (PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3), so we’ll have something available in the coming weeks. When we have more details, we’ll let you know.

We are also looking into the issues people are experiencing with the pre-order DLC, including not being able to access the content.

Updated: The incremental update for PC users (v 1.2.0) is now available for download on Steam. Check out our forums for the issues it covers. As mentioned previously, we still have a comprehensive update coming for PC, 360, and PS3. As we have more info to share, we’ll let everyone know.

Update 12/8: It’s sounding good for a release of the update for PS3 users in Europe tonight — as early as midnight GMT.  PS3 users in North America shouldn’t have to wait too much longer… we’ll keep you posted.

We’re also hopeful to have the update available on Steam tomorrow and the update on 360 next week.  Once updates are released, we’ll start sharing notes on the update. Stay tuned.

  1. Among many other things, I cannot access camp mccarren AT ALL anymore. It freezes during the loading screen every single time. and missions randomly fail while im just walking or exploring, including the main Mr house mission. I dont have xbox live so how am i supposed to update my game huh? This is so slack, everyone can sit here and say how they appreciate how hard you’re working but im not cause the reality is that you should have thoroughly checked this game and noticed these issues before releasing it!!! What a waste of my money, thanks a lot!

  2. First off i want to start by saying i absolutely love the fallout series…The games are amazing…I have the 360 version of this game and it is very frustrating that i cant get into vault 3 at all without losing whatever i complete after leaving the vault….I am at level 24 and getting really pissed that i cant finish this game…..all i want to do is to go to vault 3 and kill all the fiends…get whatever it is that the brotherhood wants there and leave and be able to continue the storyline that i am on….i called the number for bethesda the week of thanksgiving and they said the patch would be out soon…..soon to me meant a few day but apparently that means whenever the company can get it in……they are to busy selling a faulty game…..i would love it if someone would their head out of the sand and help us that already have this faulty game………thanks…..very frustrated fallout fan needing a little help……..

  3. How did a game get released with so many bugs. I have gotten stuck in trees and other places, had partners get stuck in rocks, and worst of all is the dreaded “can no longer access downloaded material”, meaning I have lost all my saved progress. I have had to stop playing the game because twice this week I have lost my manual and auto saved progress (wasted 8 hours playing x’s 2). Even if you come up with patches, how does that help those of us that don’t have access to xbox live? Maybe you could ship out updated disks to gamestop and let me take this 80 dollar piece of juck back to them for an exchange.

  4. Well… instead wasting my time with rocking the wasteland i got time now for my warhammer army.

And what are my fellow xbox gamer doing instead?

  5. have completed assasins creed brotherhood
and the red dead redemption undead nightmare
hoped that would be enough time for these updates to appear.. i guess not 🙁
    now back onto battlefield 2

I’m replaying Mass Effect 1 and 2. Normally I play the good guy. This time i’m going full renegade. It’s amazing how different the game is. Don’t get me wrong, I like Fallout New Vegas but the glitches make for a bad gaming experiance. It’s nice to play Mass Effect and not have to worry about a game breaking glitch. I know that in the future I won’t be buying a Obsidian/Bethesda game without waiting 2 or 3 months for them fix it.
