  1. I like the chapter in Hell, with her portals of souls, tortured bodies.. the shadows are a live creature inside this game, always in movement.

    Is a old game, but have sofisticated use of the light and texture. The action is old school, with a solid gameplay, more shoot and less talk! the good old times, when a shotgun and a key, are everything you need.

    For the modern audience, who needs more “cutscenes” the game have a Half-Life side too.. but not too much. 😉

  2. Whoop de doo. I can buy the games I have … again.

    I am developing a serious dislike for what used to be my favorite game company. Go ahead, burn some more bridges.

  3. Damn, the same month like Dishonored, time to save up some cash.
    I read that the game will have split screen co-op, how true is this, guys?

  4. Wow this looks cool! Used to have Doom 3 for Xbox but I sold it. The I got Doom 3 and RoW for pc. Now I can play it on the Xbox again! Oh and btw, anyone who is complaining about doom online support, if you LEGALLY own a doom wad file, just use skulltag it hosts servers everyday. Plus, its got a feature that updates doom’s graphics. It’s cool.

  5. So… Doom 3 BIG F*CKING GUN (Or game) edition isn’t going to follow in suit of rage is it? Not to much game play, most of the file size is just texture, xbox had a horrid three or four disk. PC had so many errors that rendered game play impossible. Nothing like that?

    • Only the file size? Rage is a pain, on the PS3 too, luckily I sold that thing. I believe that Doom 4 will ask more dvd and bluray, for the supposed “amazing technology” of John Carmack and team. After 20 years, seeing the industry trying to get rid of physical media, studying ways to improve the technology to compress the games using less physical media…. the golden boy of the house needs to use more media, like the old days of multiple cds to poke a game.

      Do not waste your money .. different from the fanboys about the light and shadows, the Doom 3 engine, made this problem a little worse, in that it ‘masked out’ shadow areas, instead of accumulating light in non-shadow areas.. resulting in there was only one possible shadow color (black!).

      BFG = Big Fail Game

  6. it’s = it is.

    “Re-mastered for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, DOOM 3 and it’s expansion pack offer enhanced visuals further immersing you in the demonic world like never before…”

    FAILED for PR!

  7. Question to Bethesda/id…

    Will DOOM 3 feature co-op gameplay as you had in for example Doom 3 for XBOX?
    It would be a shame not to since it was an exciting experience!
    If NOT then please make it happen while you’ve still got time!

    And by the way, a huge part of DOOM 3’s horror was the fact that you had to switch between weapons and flashlight, so PLEASE do not change that or at least make this blasphemous “gun + flashlight”-feature a shameful alternative!
