Dishonored is ‘Gold’ and so is this mask

We’re thrilled to announce that Dishonored has “Gone Gold”! After more than three years of development, 30+ versions of the game (accounting for different languages, countries, and platforms) are ready for release. Huge congrats to Arkane’s Lyon and Austin offices, as well as everyone else involved with the project.

Coming to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC, Dishonored will be available in North America on October 9, 2012, in Australia and Spain on October 11, 2012, and throughout Europe on October 12, 2012.

And to celebrate, we’re going to give away an extremely limited Overseer mask (note: not actually made of gold) created specifically for our PAX Prime Boyle Mansion Party, as well as a signed copy of the game. For a chance to win, read the sweepstakes rules after the break.

  1. Congrats to Arkane. Already preordered PC version. I just pray it will sell well, and Arkane won’t be forced to make some mindless shooter next.

    • Doubtful.

They don’t want anyone to know it’s a broken mess until it’s too late to get their money back…

I think it’s cute, yet sad, that Beth thinks PS3 users are going to spend another penny on anything with their name on it.

It sucks for Arkane, but maybe this will be a lesson to programmers to avoid Bethesda and Zenimax in the future unless they want to go 360/PC exclusive.

  2. Sweet! I have already made the Dovahkiin (IRON) Helmet…

Next is the Corvo Attano (assassin’s) mask. It will aim quite the challenge… But it will be worth it. Thanx for the contest.

          • iZsoul i agree with you 100%

There is no hope for the kind of subject. Even with better GPU, CPU and everything in the market, possibly TES 6 is for the next-generation consoles and again multiplatform and full of limitations.

I hope the next generation of consoles is the last step on this “Super Nes vs Megadrive” syndrome. The modern market created a generation of slaves who do not try to select hardware, believing it to be more fun and economical live limited to crap.

We lost almost ten years of games with better results, and i fear more.

          • I already pre-ordered Dishonored for PC, I will not trust my Xbotox or Painsation. They work right with games made exclusively for their limited brains.

But actually I do not trust anymore in Todd Howard and her team. no love with Id Software as well.

            Lets try Arkane.

  3. Just to ask, when will the Dishonored Remix contest winners be picked and emailed? I really hope you guys liked mine!
