QuakeCon 2015: Announcing Fallout Anthology

BOOM! On stage during the 2015 QuakeCon welcome, Pete Hines dropped a bomb with the announcement of Fallout Anthology.

For the first time in the history of the award-winning franchise, all the Fallout games you know and love – or need to catch up on – are available in one explosive PC collection that arrives on September 29th in North America and October 2nd across European territories. Fallout Anthology features five critically acclaimed games and official add-ons in a premium collectible set – neatly packaged inside a Fat Man mini-nuke!

And because there’s a new edition coming to the Fallout family this November, the collection takes a page from Vault-Tec and reserves a space for your Fallout 4 game disc.

Fallout Anthology explodes with content, including the following games and add-ons:

Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition

From award-winning developers Bethesda Game Studios®, create any character you want explore the open wastes of Washington, D.C. however you choose. Every minute is a fight for survival as you encounter Super Mutants, Ghouls, Raiders, and other dangers of the Wasteland. In addition to the critically-acclaimed Fallout 3, the Game of the Year Edition includes official add-ons: The Pitt, Operation: Anchorage, Broken Steel, Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta.

Fallout New Vegas: Ultimate Edition

Battle your way across the heat-blasted Mojave Wasteland to the neon drenched Vegas Strip. Along the way you’ll be introduced to a colorful cast of characters, factions, mutated creatures and much more. The Fallout New Vegas: Ultimate Edition comes complete with the full suite of add-ons: Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Old World Blues, Lonesome Road, Courier’s Stash and Gun Runners Arsenal.

Fallout Tactics

In these dark times, the Brotherhood of Steel is all that stands between the rekindled flame of civilization and the radiated Wasteland. Take up arms, stand shoulder to shoulder with your brethren, and protect the weak, whether they like it or not. Your squadmates will be more dear to you than family and for those that survive there will be honor, respect and the spoils of war.

Fallout 2

It’s been 80 long years since your ancestors trod across the wastelands. As you search for the Garden of Eden Creation Kit to save your primitive village, your path is strewn with crippling radiation, megalomaniac mutants, and a relentless stream of lies, deceit and treachery. You begin to wonder if anyone really stands to gain anything from this brave new world.

After 80 years of idyllic Vault life, Vault 13’s vital water chip has malfunctioned. You are chosen by the Overseer to venture out into the Wasteland and save your fellow Vault Dwellers. Seek out a new microchip and return before the water supply runs out.

  1. This is great news, that pisses me off kinda…

I have the collectors edition of Fallout 3, New Vegas, and Fallout 4 (pre-ordered).

I cant just miss one collectors edition, I would feel like a terrible fan… But if I buy it, my fiance would hate me for hours.

  2. Yo, whats with the short sell outs!? FALLOUT 4 Lithos posted late on a Friday when most people are moving on the weekend!? Limit 3 on 100 ran? So 33 people got these for eBay? Then 400 more fly out first thing Monday. Now this? Its damn near impossible to keep up. How about cutting a break to a customer based on loyalty and not timing or limited availability or convention exclusivity? I’ve probably spent $5000 plus at Bethesda’s site alone on Fallout collectibles and I give away hundreds in Fallout related prizes at Craterside Supply to fans so its extremely irksome as a fan/collector to see these scenarios where this stuff drops, is instantly gone and up for sale. And I’m a guy who would pay for it. Others can’t. Why don’t you just put it directly on eBay yourself?

Its part of whats pushing me and others away from the collecting and fandom aspect. Can’t wait for the game though.

  3. I must possess this. Do these games require Steam or any other service to work, or are they finally properly DRM-free? Mostly talking New Vegas here, since the rest of them already can be played without Steam…

  4. I’m more interested to know if these can be redeemed on steam, or if we have to use the actual physical discs. I suppose if we have to use the physical discs it would feel like we really are in the post-apocolyptic ages

  5. Can you please update FO3 to run properly on Windows 7/8 without having to rely on cfg file fixes and the like? It seems lazy and unprofessional to have a game on sale for this long, with multiple heavy discounts, only to have severe issues that could easily be corrected upon installation. I appreciate what the community does to help, but that’s not something they should have to concern themselves with.

  6. Any chance that any of them are Steam versions? I was deeply disappointed in the Elder Scrolls Anthology because in Central / Eastern-Europe, only Skyrim was Steam based, all the others were retail copies…

  7. When is it up on Amazon? im quessing they are in the process of listing it, i hope most of us get a chance to get it.

  8. After seeing what they did to that Gigabyte motherboard at the airport, having a bomb shaped case really is a bad idea for anyone that wants to travel with it, ever.

  9. Two questions, first one, does it come with Steam keys? Also, are they going to patch Fallout 3 so that it comes w/o GFWL?

  10. Does anyone know if the fallout 3 will run? I own it and steam doesn’t support fallout 3 on win 7 or 8 and neither does Bethesda.

  11. It would have been awesome if the anthology came out on xbox one .as well as just PC . I would definitely buy it if that were the case . What is the use of having another xbox one or playstation 4. If I can’t play Fallout anthology on it .

  12. Is this going to be super limited? Can i still wait to purchase it on release day?

damnit… i have no money at the moment, but want it soo bad!!! i hope its not super limited like the pipboy edition was.

  13. See they should do something like that for console not just pc because I would love to see them games on Xbox one or ps4.

  14. Yeah, and ya know, if you have any extra pip boy additions of 4 you stumble across, feel free to bring them to PAX and save one for me 😉

  15. I already got my Fallout Anthology Collection from GOG, and i have New Vegas and Fallout 3 Steam, so this collection wouldn’t do anything for. I would only take the Nuke and sell those games for someone who really wants them.

  16. Will the Fallout 3 version in this anthology be the same steam version that is currently available? Or is this a new version? Asking because my currently owned Steam version of Fallout 3 has significant issues running on Windows 7. Thanks
